The highly anticipated Mr. and Ms. Cordillera UB pageant concluded the afternoon session of the 3rd Fiesta Cordillera, celebrating not only beauty and grace but also cultural pride, advocacy, and charisma among the contestants. After a series of rounds that showcased cultural attire and personal advocacies, the title of Mr. Cordillera UB was awarded to Jchrizlei Jedd Anguitay (MR. 3), while Keziah Joy Tamayo (MS. 7) was crowned Ms. Cordillera UB, both recognized for their outstanding poise, stage presence, and embodiment of Cordilleran heritage.
The 1st Runner-Up honors went to Ievy Casuga (MR.) and Tracy Basilio (MS.), while Ian Solang (MR.) and Chloe De Guero (MS.) were awarded 2nd Runner-Up. The 3rd Runner-Up titles were given to Jim Tagure (MR.) and Nicole Dominglos (MS.), rounding out a competitive and inspiring lineup of contestants.
Special awards were also presented to celebrate distinctive qualities: Jedd Anguitay (MR. 3) and Keziah Joy Tamayo (MS. 7) were recognized as Best in Cultural Attire, reflecting their exceptional appreciation of Cordilleran heritage. Jim Tagure (MR. 4) and Keziah Joy Tamayo (MS. 7) also earned multiple accolades, including Best in Advocacy, Charisma, and Darling of the Crowd, demonstrating their engagement with both judges and audience. Meanwhile, the Congeniality Award was given to Ace Martin (MR. 1) and Keziah Eniaca (MS. 3), honoring their friendliness, approachability, and positive spirit throughout the pageant.
The event highlighted not just competition, but camaraderie, cultural pride, and the ability of students to advocate for meaningful causes while celebrating their Cordilleran identity.

The Art Exhibit was proudly displayed at the UB Gym during the event, showcasing the creativity, culture, and talent of our students. Judging took place on the same day, recognizing outstanding works in both group and individual categories.
In the Group Category, Entry 16 from Section NAJ emerged as Champion, followed by Entry 12 from Section ABC as 1st Runner-Up, and Entry 11 from Section NAF securing 2nd Runner-Up. Special recognitions were also given, with Entry 16 (NAJ) winning Best in Visual Presentation, Entry 18 (Section HBC) receiving Most Culturally Inspired Artwork, and Entry 11 (NAF) earning the award for Most Meaningful Artwork.
In the Individual Category, Entry 1 (EAB2) was declared Champion, with Entry 2 (BFD) as 1st Runner-Up, and Entry 5 (BDF) as 2nd Runner-Up. Special awards were likewise presented, with Entry 1 winning both Best in Visual Impact and Most Meaningful Artwork, while Entry 2 received the award for Most Culturally Inspired Artwork.
All participants received consolation prizes in recognition of their effort and creativity. A big congratulations to everyone for celebrating Cordilleran heritage through art! ๐โจ
The activity advances SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing students with a platform to express creativity, develop artistic skills, and engage in cultural learning beyond the classroom, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by encouraging participation from diverse student groups, giving equal opportunities for expression regardless of background, course, or year level, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by preserving and showcasing Cordilleran culture, strengthening community identity, and promoting cultural sustainability through art and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) as it brings together students, organizers, faculty, and the community to celebrate culture and education through collaborative efforts.

The morning session of the 3rd Fiesta Cordillera featured the Cultural Presentation, showcasing the creativity, heritage pride, and cultural interpretation skills of the HCORDI students. A total of 11 groups took the stage, each presenting diverse cultural narratives from various Cordillera provinces.
Emerging as Champion was the Nariha Kabugao Performing Arts from Section HBJ, who presented a compelling portrayal of the Province of Apayao. Earning the title of 1st Runner-Up was the Banaag Cultural Group from Section EBA 3 with their vibrant presentation of Kalinga Province. Securing the position of 2nd Runner-Up was the Donglala-ay Cultural Group, whose performance also captivated the audience and judges.
For the special awards, the Banaag Cultural Group earned recognition for securing both the Best Male Performer and Best in Attire, Accessories, and Props. The Donglala-ay Cultural Group likewise distinguished themselves by winning the Best Female Performer award. Meanwhile, the Nariha Kabugao Performing Arts garnered multiple distinctions, including Excellence in Cultural Authenticity, Most Creative Cultural Interpretation, Most Inspiring Cultural Presentation, Best in Attire, Accessories, and Props, and Most Meaningful Cultural Narrative, further solidifying their status as outstanding performers in this yearโs cultural presentation.
All groups received their respective consolation prizes in recognition of their participation and effort.
The morning session concluded with a community dance joined by the participants, judges and the audience symbolizing unity, celebration, and shared cultural identity.

The program opened with a presentation on the history of BIMAAK by Adviser Ms. Beverly Laltoog, followed by an enriching talk from ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ฌ, UB High School Principal, who emphasized that culture is not static, it is living, growing, and carried through generations.
Using the banyan tree as a metaphor, Dr. Apiles reminded the participants that our roots ground us, our values give us strength, and our identity branches out into the future we shape together.
