We, your students, are deeply grateful for the life you so generously shared with us. The lessons you taught became anchors in our journey, and the values you lived became quiet guides in our own. Even the light moments remain with us, the jokes in the middle of serious talks, your warm laughter, and the familiar way you would say “Pilosopo,” now cherished echoes in our hearts.

What you impressed upon our lives goes beyond memory. It is something we carry forward and live out each day as we continue the path of medicine you helped us understand.

With all that you have given us, we promise that your legacy will live on. We will study harder, persevere further, and strive for excellence, always hoping to make you the proudest Dean, just as you reminded us to be.

We also lift in prayer your family, friends, loved ones, and the entire faculty of SLU School of Medicine. May we all rest in the comfort of God’s embrace and, as one body and one spirit, cor unum et anima una, find strength and solace in one another.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

You will be deeply missed, yet forever remembered 💐
