PCBA Field Trip SY 25-26 | Part 1

Our students kicked off their Pampanga adventure at the historic Pamintuan Mansion! Built around 1890 by spouses Mariano Pamintuan and Valentina Torres for their son Florentino, this mansion is more than just grand halls – it’s a witness to Philippine history.

Fun history highlights:
- Served as the headquarters of the Revolutionary Army under Gen. Venancio Concepcion (1898) and Gen. Antonio Luna (April 1899). Here, Luna planned the defense of Pampanga against the Americans!
- Occupied by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo and staff on May 27, 1899.
- Celebrated the first anniversary of Philippine Independence right here on June 12, 1899.
- Later occupied by Gen. Arthur MacArthur and his staff 1901.
- In 1944, it even housed a group of kamikaze pilots.
- Bought by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in 1981, restored in 1982, and officially inaugurated in 1988 as a museum preserving its rich legacy.

Our students explored its elegant halls and truly felt history come alive!

ADVISORY | Class Suspension and Holiday

Please be informed that classes in all levels (public and private schools) in Baguio City are suspended on April 1, 2026, in observance of the Holy Week, pursuant to Executive Order No. 41, Series of 2026.

Additionally, April 2 and 3, 2026 are declared regular holidays, and there will also be no classes on these days as well.

May we take time to reflect on the sacrifice and love of Christ—and rejoice in the hope we have because He is risen! Have a meaningful and blessed break.

Earlier today, PCBA students participated in the First Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. Together with the faculty and staff, our students practiced the proper safety procedures such as Duck, Cover, and Hold, orderly evacuation, and following the designated exit points.

Because our school regularly conducts earthquake drills, our students and teachers are familiar with the safety protocols and know how to respond calmly and efficiently. These practices are especially meaningful because our community has also experienced applying these procedures during a real earthquake on a regular school day.

Through continued drills like this, we strengthen our preparedness and awareness so that everyone in the PCBA community stays safe and ready in times of emergency.

ADVISORY

There will be no classes on February 17 in celebration of Chinese New Year.

On February 18, face-to-face classes are suspended due to the Chinese New Year Grand Colorful Parade. However, students are required to accomplish the assigned tasks for Modular Distance Learning on this day.

Please be guided accordingly.

We proudly celebrate a milestone moment for PCBA at the ABCS Inter-school Sportsfest 2026, the debut of our very first basketball team composed of students from Grades 5-10. They played with heart, discipline, and determination beyond their years.
