You have seen the events of the 27th of April from Akap Arapaapโs team membersโ perspectives, but now, hear all about it from the staff and studentsโ perspectives! As Maโam Maria Fe Pio expressed, โI just hope may ganito next year para naman sa mga additional learnings ng incoming grade sixโ, one grade six learner noted the importance of applying what they were taught in real life and explained, โSa mga bawat nangyayari, mayroon po siyang moral, o kaya sa life po, dapat laging kang may natututunanโ.
Watch as Charles Apigo and Natalie Arenas interview them and get their insights from these very important people themselves.

As students, Akap Arapaap knows what it is like to struggle with academics. There are instances where new topics and requirements pile up on top of each other that we get so overwhelmed. However, sometimes, all we need is a friend by our side and a snack in hand. Despite being in our last year of high school, we are still taken back to the early days of grade school at the sight of Rebiscoโs nostalgic packaging and the taste of their familiar biscuits. Watch the commercial below filmed with two of Camp 7 Elementary Schoolโs students to have a throwback of our favorite childhood snack. From team Akap Arapaap, thank you, Rebisco! Sarap ng filling mo!๐ฅฐ๐

To some people, the 27th of April might have been a regular Saturday, but to Akap Arapaap, that day was certainly one to remember. At seven oโclock that morning, the team traveled to Camp 7 Elementary School more than ready to contribute to the knowledge of the schoolโs sixth graders. It took some time from their arrival and setting up to familiarize themselves with the new faces. However, with the opening remarks and prayer delivered, the introduction to the members of the advocacy broke the ice between the seniors in high school and the students in middle school. This signaled the start of a productive day filled with new things learned and new friends made.
To officially begin the literacy portion of the set of activities planned, the group held the Mystery Story Quiz wherein the students had to chronologically arrange the events of the story read to them and answer questions involving its main components. Amidst the timer and the specific questions, they were able to perform well and exhibit their firm grasp of the story. Next, they played Vest in Spelling wherein they were given a word to spell using the letters on the front and back parts of the vests worn by their classmates. Between this game and the previous one, this one was enjoyed the most as students expressed how they were fond of spelling. Before using the remaining words in the list, the students had their recess to energize themselves for the gameโs continuation. After finishing the literacy portion, the group moved on to the numeracy portion with Spin-the-Math, a game driven by either fortune or misfortune as the kids had to spin the wheel to see which math concept they had to apply. Much like a lot of people, the kids did not show as much eagerness for math. However, after a quick lesson on graphing, their enthusiasm returned as a lot of hands simultaneously shot up to volunteer to plot the given points on the board. To finish the set of activities, they played Tic-tac-toe with a twist. Before they could place their pieces, they had to answer a math question correctly. Overall, the games all involving the class being split into groups of two truly showed the studentsโ general willingness to learn and cooperate as well as their exhibition of good sportsmanship.
To conclude the program, Akap Arapaap distributed certificates and tokens to the teachers and students along with four new electric fans to add to the classroom. All in all, the experience was memorable and fulfilling as the group gained new perspectives and life lessons. The advocacy recognizes that they cannot make nationwide change in the blink of an eye. However, we all start somewhere. For Akap Arapaap, it was Camp 7 Elementary School and its staff and students. Their determination to collaborate with the team and give them a chance to prove what they could do was what paved the way for the groupโs journey of reinventing learning. Beyond that, the group acknowledges the continuous support from their parents, sponsors, and immersion adviser Sir Nelwyn Tejada. Without them, Akap Arapaap would not be as successful in its advocacy as it is today.๐๐ฉโ๐ซโ๏ธ

MISSION SUCCESSFUL!๐
On the afternoon of April 27, Team Akap Arapaap officially and successfully concluded their program, distributing certificates to Camp 7 Elementary Schoolโs teachers, staff, principal, and grade six students and expressing their sincerest thanks to them. As the event came to a close, the team members left the school confident that they have fulfilled their advocacyโs goals and have made an impact on the young learners. Without the studentsโ continuous cooperation, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn something new, the program would not have gone the way it did.
From the very beginning, the schoolโs staff showed their willingness to collaborate with the team. Principal Samuel D. Lachica was determined to provide learning opportunities to the students; Facilitators Sir Geoffrey Q. Agpay and Maโam Emely L. Caluza were efficient in coordinating with the advocacy; Class advisers Maโam Shaira A. Abao and Maโam Marie Fe O. Pio were dedicated to ensuring the connection between the schoolโs students and the advocacyโs team members; Lastly, the grade six students were keen on adding to their knowledge. The full ex*****on of the program would not have been possible without the people of this school. Again, Akap Arapaap sincerely thanks Camp 7 Elementary Schoolโs principal, facilitators, teachers, and sixth graders for giving them a chance to take their first step in making a change in quality education.
To get a feel for the whole experience, watch out for the teamโs video documenting the events to be released soon! ๐คฉ

In a world marked by disparities where some students thrive, others struggle to find their footing in the classroom due to a lack of resources and an inadequate education system. While we all share the common goal of achieving great things, navigating the same path, and harboring similar dreams, the reality of unequal opportunities casts a shadow on these aspirations.
Unfortunately, the reality is that some students are losing hope as they face the consequences of an illiteracy crisis caused by inadequate education. Despite these challenges, Akap Arapaap aims to address the root causes of this issue and ensure that every student receives the quality education they deserve. By bridging the gap and providing equal opportunities, we can empower all students to reach their full potential and create a brighter future for everyone.
With that being said, join our advocacy as we travel to Camp 7 Elementary School this Saturday to address this ongoing academic issue one school at a time. ๐ซ๐ฉโ๐ซ
