Teatro Mundo, literally translated Earth Theater, or the World of Theater Arts is basically inspired from the core cultural values & context of “Tawid” (passing on) from our ancestors here in the Cordillera region( Northern Philippines). In the 21st century , theater arts has been one of the most interesting, dynamic & relevant art disciplines created for ultimate human expressions. It is a lively, colorful & dynamic animation intended for live artistic performances. Theater is truly a wholesome & aesthetically exhilarating experience, but nevertheless can be very demanding, rigid and physically tiring. It has also a solid & strong link to traditions and heritage. In the present situation theater arts has become more democratic and innovative with a more human face. In a nutshell, theater is really meant for everyone (theater for all). Theater arts nowadays, can really offer a genuine alternative education (non- formal or informal). This is where theater arts participants / enthusiasts can experience clean fun through games & theater exercises, also life skills trainings, improvisations, innovations, forums or creative art sessions. These participants will be given a chance to work together, exchange ideas & feelings among themselves. Virtues & values like awareness, sensitivity, trusts, volunteerism, compassion, sharing & caring will be fully embodied in the workshop processes. In every human individual there is always a child in all of us. It is when our creativity, imagination and creative fantasy is effectively expressed through integration or fusion of these varied arts. This theater workshop trainings is an open opportunity for everyone to partake. Teatro Mundo is really meant for this present age where human civilizations have naturally matured from a very conflicting levels of existence. In our age of globalization and modernity where technology has to connect and harmonize with the present dispensation of ecology, culture & values it indeed an urgent need that humanity has to be truly empowered. First thing first, is to be in a proper mental/ psycho- social, physical and sound spiritual grounding. Teatro Mundo with nature’s wisdom will also be a healing and liberating experience (body, mind, spirit) This will be a practical easy to learn theater well connected with the realities of the communities based on human cooperation and oneness. Its ultimate vision is to bring happiness & joy to every human soul in the context of our modern contemporary existence.
