🏆 Another Milestone for Doña Aurora National High School!

Doña Aurora National High School (DANHS) proudly celebrates another significant milestone after being officially recognized as a Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace by the Department of Health – Center for Health Development Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH-CHD CAR).

Following the assessment conducted on June 15, 2026, DANHS successfully complied with the statutory mandates of Republic Act No. 10028, otherwise known as the Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009. The certification was issued on June 17, 2026, in Baguio City and is valid until June 17, 2028.

This prestigious recognition was formally awarded during the Flag Raising Ceremony at Baguio City Hall on July 27, 2026, affirming our commitment to creating a workplace that values the health, dignity, and well-being of mothers, infants, and all members of our school community.

This achievement is a testament to the power of collaboration. DANHS extends its heartfelt gratitude to Barangay Aurora Hill Proper, under the leadership of Punong Barangay May Gonzales, with the invaluable support of Kagawad Rogelio Ambroce, for their unwavering partnership throughout the accreditation process. We also commend Ms. Lorena Sanchez, Administrative Officer II, whose dedication and hard work ensured the successful completion of all program requirements.

At DANHS, we believe that a nurturing workplace builds a stronger school community. This accreditation strengthens our resolve to continue promoting employee welfare, supporting breastfeeding mothers, advocating for child and maternal health, and working hand in hand with our stakeholders in creating a healthier and more inclusive learning environment.

DANHS Orients Parents on DepEd Reforms and Learner Support Systems

Doña Aurora National High School (DANHS) successfully conducted its Parents and Guardians Orientation on June 10 and 11, 2026, to inform parents and guardians about key educational reforms and school programs for School Year 2026–2027.

During the orientation, Dr. Riona Copiling, school Principal, discussed the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar and significant Department of Education policies, including DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026 on the revised classroom assessment, grading, and awards system; DepEd Order No. 017, s. 2026 on the strengthened Senior High School curriculum; and DepEd Order No. 014, s. 2026 on learning continuity in emergencies. She emphasized the importance of these reforms in improving learning outcomes and ensuring quality education for all learners.

Meanwhile, Mr. Limar Kisse, Guidance Teacher Designate, presented the school's Referral System, highlighting its role in the early identification and support of learners experiencing academic, behavioral, socio-emotional, or health-related concerns. He underscored the importance of collaboration among parents, teachers, and school personnel in providing timely interventions and support.

The orientation strengthened the partnership between the school and families, fostering a shared commitment to the holistic development, well-being, and success of every DANHS learner.

CES Dr. Juliet Sannad Visits DANHS for Balik Eskwela 2026 Monitoring

As part of the Balik Eskwela 2026 monitoring activities, Dr. Juliet Sannad, Chief Education Supervisor of the Schools Division Office of Baguio, together with Dr. Rosie Beel Marzo, Public Schools District Supervisor of District IV, visited Doña Aurora National High School to assess the school's readiness and the smooth opening of classes for the new school year.

During the visit, Dr. Sannad warmly welcomed one of the newly hired teachers, Mr. Moises Pasing, a Science teacher, and shared words of encouragement as he begins his service at DANHS. She also acknowledged the school's other new teachers, Ms. Cristine Songyap, Science teacher, and Ms. Hannah Grace Simeon, a Values Education teacher, expressing her support for their professional growth and contribution to the school's mission of delivering quality education.

The visit reflects the continued commitment of the Schools Division Office of Baguio in supporting schools, teachers, and learners as another academic year begins.
