Last September 5, 2026, the Department of Economics and Political Science (DEPS) conducted a one-day bridging course on algebra for economic analysis.

The activity aimed to equip first year BA Social Sciences Economics majors and BS Management Economics students with the foundational mathematical skills required for their introductory economics courses. Throughout the session, students tackled key topics including whole numbers, algebraic expressions, linear and quadratic equations, and two-variable graphing.

The topics will include an introduction to bivariate analysis, tools for bivariate analysis, measures of association, and introduction to regression analysis.

Following announcements from the Baguio City Mayor’s Office, work and face-to-face classes at UP Baguio are suspended tomorrow, August 10, 2026, due to the effects of the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Enrollment activities are extended until Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Following the advisories issued by the City Mayor's Office and Malacañang Memorandum Circular no. 123, please be informed that office work and face-to-face classes at UP Baguio are hereby suspended on Monday, August 10, 2026.

In addition, the enrollment period is extended. Enrollment activities may be accommodated until Thursday, August 13, 2026, which is also the deadline for change of matriculation.
