Ngayong buwan ng Marso, ating ginugunita at ipinagdiriwang ang Buwan ng Kababaihan bilang pagkilala sa mahalagang papel ng mga kababaihan sa ating kasaysayan at sa kasalukuyang panahon. Mula sa mga kababaihang bayani noong unang panahon hanggang sa mga kababaihang patuloy na nagbibigay inspirasyon sa ating lipunan ngayon, hindi matatawaran ang kanilang ambag sa paghubog ng ating bansa. 💜🌹

Ang mga kababaihan ay nagsilbing ilaw, gabay, at lakas maging sa ating pamilya, edukasyon, pamahalaan, at komunidad. Ang kanilang tapang, dedikasyon, at walang sawang pagmamahal sa kapwa ay patuloy na nagbibigay pag-asa at inspirasyon sa bawat isa. Sa kabila ng mga hamon at pagsubok, patuloy nilang ipinapakita ang katatagan, talino, at kakayahang magtagumpay.🌸💡

Sa Buwan ng Kababaihan, ating lubos na kilalanin, ipagdiwang, at ipagpasalamat ang mga kababaihang nagsisilbing huwaran at inspirasyon sa ating lipunan. Nawa’y patuloy nating suportahan at igalang ang kanilang mga karapatan, kakayahan, at kontribusyon sa pag-unlad ng ating bayan.

Maligayang Buwan ng Kababaihan sa lahat ng kababaihan, mga ilaw ng tahanan, haligi ng komunidad, at inspirasyon ng sambayanan!🎉🩷

Forty years ago today, millions of ordinary Filipinos, students, nuns, workers, parents, and grandparents, stood on a highway and toppled a dictatorship without a single bullet fired. That was February 25, 1986.

EDSA veterans are asking today's youth directly: "Did we fail you? Did you know we were fighting for something?" The people who lived through Martial Law, the curfews, the disappearances, the silence, are watching a generation that grew up in the freedom they bled for, and wondering if that story was ever passed on.

A younger generation that lacks a deep understanding of history is seen as one of the biggest dangers of this moment, especially with disinformation on social media and AI-driven narratives reshaping what people believe is true.

And yet, today, the youth are again at the forefront. From the streets in 2025 demanding accountability over flood control anomalies and political dynasties, to the rallies happening right now along EDSA, young Filipinos are proving that people power is not dead. The difference this time is that instead of relying on radio frequencies, they are navigating digital networks and social media feeds.

Commemoration alone is not enough. Rituals without reflection only create distance. If EDSA is to mean anything today, it cannot remain a performance, it must remain a practice. A practice that insists on truth even when it is inconvenient.

It means that people power is not nostalgia rather it is a democratic necessity.

Huwag kalimutan. Huwag pabayaan. Kumilos!
