📢 UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCEMENT
SUSPENSION OF ON-SITE CLASSES | SEPTEMBER 10, 2026

UPDATE AS OF 5:00 A.M.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, all on-site classes at all levels in public and private educational institutions in Baguio City scheduled for September 10, 2026, are SUSPENDED.

In response to the ongoing heavy rainfall warnings and inclement weather, the University of Baguio will shift to its respective flexible/online distance learning arrangements for affected students from Basic Education to Tertiary Education.

📌 ON-SITE WORK
On-site work for employees on September 10 will continue as scheduled, unless otherwise directed by official University management.

Faculty members are advised to coordinate with their respective schools/units regarding the implementation of alternative learning arrangements.

📌 RLE • INTERNSHIP • OJT • PRACTICUM
Students under RLE, Internship, OJT, or Practicum should wait for separate instructions from their respective coordinators, in consultation with their host training establishments.

The safety and well-being of our students and the entire UB community remain our top priority.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 10

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 10, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the cumulative effects of prolonged rainfall:

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management. - PCO

Having the community celebrate a Eucharistic Mass and a meaningful blessing at the Founders' Garden with the Bautista family, retirees, administration, and representatives.
