A glimpse of the collaboration between the BA Music and BAEL students during the event entitled “Unscripted Journey: Ikaw at Ako” in the UB Centennial Hall. A blend of friendship, creativity, and emotions in the form of music, lyrics, and compositions beyond the boundaries of art and language. Through every performance and shared moment, the event became a celebration of passion, expression, and the beauty of storytelling through sound and words. ✨🎶

Life may not always follow the plan you imagined, but growth happens in every struggle, every shift, and every new beginning. From BAEL classrooms to life as an OFW in South Korea, Christian Lardizabal’s story is a reminder to stay tenacious, keep growing, and never stop believing in yourself. 💙

𝐔𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 - 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐞

I lift my head from the light, and remember something unfinished. So I stare back at the light, fingers clacking away incessantly. The warmth of my bed beckons, and yet something is always unfinished. Eyes teary, the light pulls my attention, and my fingers follow.
⁣
A few more days, my tired mind reminds me, and yet I inch closer to the spiral. Still, I stare into the light, and move, keep moving. Stop and I’ll stop forever. Escape is easy, it always has been my constant companion. I’ve spent too much time escaping, faces of dismay and warm smiles, a deterrent of sorts, keeping thoughts of quick escape at bay.

So I stay, staring, fingers constantly moving. Thoughts flowing, fatigue tossed aside, because something’s unfinished, there’s always something unfinished.
