Last May 18, 2026, UB-SIHTM successfully conducted its Junior Practicum Pre-Deployment Seminar at the UB Cardinals Gymnasium. A key highlight of the program was the emphasis on global readiness, delivered by distinguished guests from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO).

Last May 19, 2026, student leaders from the School of IHTM gathered at Cafe Fernando for “Moving Forward Together: A Dean–Student Leaders Session,” an initiative organized by the SIHTM Student Body headed by Ms. Joan Florague together with Dean Jenelyn M. Magpatoc. The gathering served as a meaningful opportunity for student leaders and faculty members to strengthen collaboration, reflect on the academic year, and prepare for the goals and challenges ahead.

On May 4, 2026, the University of Baguio School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) held its Excellence Awards for the Second Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026 at the University of Baguio Centennial Hall.

The event was organized to formally recognize SIHTM students and mentors who have demonstrated outstanding performance in academics, competitions, and institutional engagements, highlighting the school’s continued commitment to excellence and holistic student development.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | In time with the celebration of National Heritage Month every May, the THMICE1 Class, Section HBO, of UB SIHTM brought heritage and creativity to life with Agsabsabong, a reimagined Sagala infused with Cordilleran-inspired attire, indigenous textiles, and cultural motifs.

Blending the traditions of Flores de Mayo and Santacruzan with a distinct Cordilleran identity, the event showcased the artistry, innovation, and organizational excellence of SIHTM students.

Leadership is not only about celebrating achievements—it is also about creating a vision for the future. Today, the student organizations of SIHTM came together in a meaningful session to present their accomplishments, reflect on milestones reached, and share their future plans and aspirations.

This gathering served as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration, align goals, and continue building a community driven by service, excellence, and leadership. Together, we recognize the progress made and look ahead to even greater possibilities for the coming years.

May 15, 2026 — Wondering how inflight meals are prepared? UB Culinary students recently toured MacroAsia to see how a facility prepares thousands of inflight meals a day while strictly conforming to ISO, HACCP, HALAL, and international standards.

From Ready-to-Heat meals to global flavors designed by renowned chefs, MacroAsia gave the students the chance to immerse themselves in a state-of-the-art kitchen operating under the highest safety and sanitation standards.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | The School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management gathers all 2nd and 3rd year students at the UB Gymnasium for the SIHTM Junior Practicum Pre-Deployment Seminar this Short Term AY 2025–2026.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Hospitality and Tourism Management students showcased their creativity, innovation, and passion during the annual WHATSUP (World-class Hospitality and Tourism Start-Up Pitch) Tourism Next Gen on May 7, 2026. The event featured start-up pitching, market testing, and an exhibit (Booth Fair). UB employees, alumni, and industry partners served as judges to determine the best projects.

The awarding ceremonies for the different categories were held on May 8, 2026.
