SPTA Wraps Up Opening Block
On June 11, 2026, the school officially concluded its opening block by holding its first School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) General Assembly, led by School Principal Octavia M. Pedro.
The program began with an energetic yell performed by the Grade 4 to 6 learners. Afterwards, Principal Pedro discussed DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026, also known as the Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE).
During the meeting, she highlighted key areas concerning learner welfare, including bullying, the use of cellphones, due process, and sanctions.
After the main discussion, parents proceeded to their children's classrooms for their respective PTA meetings.
With the successful conclusion of the opening block, the school is now fully prepared to move forward into the instructional block.

Feeding Program Warms Hearts of DNJPES Kindergartners
Smiles filled Doña Nicasia J. Puyat Elementary School (DNJPES) as the Samahang Ilokano 61892 Baguio-Benguet Chapter held a feeding program for the kindergarten pupils last Friday, March 27, 2026.
Volunteers shared not just nutritious meals, but also time, care, and kindness, making the children feel valued and happy. Teachers expressed heartfelt thanks, noting how simple acts of generosity can make a big difference in a child’s day.
The activity reflected the group’s genuine commitment to uplifting young learners and strengthening community spirit.

DNJPES Advances to RSPC
Young campus journalists of Doña Nicasia J. Puyat Elementary (DNJPES) showcased their journalistic skills in the recently concluded Division School Press Conference held in Manuel Quezon Elementary School on February 7, 2026.
Competing in both English and Filipino categories, the school’s representatives demonstrated remarkable achievements in the individual events and school paper category.
Ms. Lalaine Malingay Binohlan, English school paper adviser, led the English School Paper composed of Aisla Kameron B. (Editorial Writing), John Michael C. (Editorial Cartooning), Helena Margalo T. (Feature Writing), Daeshawn Gabriel B. (Sports Writing), Jaden P. (News Writing), Janna Carla M. (Science and Technology Writing), and Brianna G. (Photojournalism).
Meanwhile, the Filipino School Paper, led by Ms Hannah Rachel Lucas, also delivered an impressive performance. The team was composed of Ariane Nheiry Rose L. (Pagsulat ng Lathalain), Gentle Angelah P. (Pagsulat ng Balita), Abigail G. P. (Agham at Teknolohiya), Hadassah Faith R. (Balitang Isports), Jhanzen G. (Editoryal Cartooning), Ellerie Hope G. (Editoryal), and Maria Elisha G. (Pagkuha ng Larawan).
In compliance with Regional Memorandum no. 141, s. 2026, regarding the conduct of Regional School Press Conference (RSPC), only the top 3 in each individual event and top 10 in school paper category will advance to the Regional School Press Conference, which will be held in Abra on March 10 to 12, 2026.
Among the individual events, Aisla Kameron clinched the 1st place in Editorial Writing; Helena Margalo placed 3rd in Feature Writing; and Brianna earned 3rd in the Photojournalism. In the Filipino category, Ellerie Hope secured 3rd in the Pagsulat ng Editoryal.
In the school paper category, the English School Paper ranked 9th place in the News Page while the Filipino School Paper placed 5th in the Editorial Page.
This milestone serves as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the teachers, the support of the parents or guardians and the learners’ determination and commitment to excel.
The school community also extends its heartfelt gratitude to its contributors: Baguio Herald Express for conducting a workshop that enhanced the learners’ journalistic skills; BJ Marcelino for the generous financial support; sir Jason Quinopez for sharing his expertise in editorial cartooning; and Principal Octavia Pedro for her assistance and encouragement. Their invaluable contributions greatly helped in making this achievement possible. To God be the glory!

Young Learners Shine in District Meets
Learners from Doña Nicasia Elementary School and neighboring schools proudly showcased their talents and skills in recent district competitions, earning awards that reflect their hard work and dedication.
On February 04, 2026 at Doña Aurora Elementary School, learner Jathan Xavier brought pride to the school after winning the 1st place in the Draw and Tell contest. Moreover, learner Thasiakhira won 2nd place in the Storytelling contest. Their success was made possible through the guidance of their coaches and trainer, Ma’am Stella, Ma’am Menzie and Sir Jason, who helped hone his creativity and confidence.
The school also celebrated the achievement of its Kinder pupils, Kaeddi Shekinah, Elleirriz Kaylie, Gabriela Lexinne, and Rhyme, who won 2nd Place in K-Moves which was held at the same school. Their energetic and well-coordinated performance impressed the judges and audience alike. This accomplishment was guided by their coaches and trainer:Ma’am Menzie, Ma’am Stella, and Sir Joey.
Meanwhile, at Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, learner Jana Carla proudly secured 2nd Place in the Tagis ng Talino (ESP) contest under the guidance of her coach, Ma’am Rachel Damaso, who continues to inspire her learners to excel in values education.
Adding to the string of victories, Chan and Emmanuel won 1st Place in STEMazing. Under the coaching of Sir Joey, the pair showcased outstanding teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
These achievements highlight not only the talents and determination of the learners but also the dedication of teachers and coaches who guided them throughout their journey. The school community also recognizes the invaluable leadership and encouragement of the school head, Ma’am Octavia, whose continued support inspires both teachers and learners to strive for excellence.
