Mondays, the first day of the week. It is leaving whatever great weekend moments it just had; good and long slumber, hot home-cooked meals, time with loved ones, and so on. Then, it commonly bears the burden in setting the tone for the rest of the week ahead, including responsibilities, chores, and a ton of to do's and problems to solve. This is why Mondays are, for the most part, heavy and distressing, which already makes it juxtaposed - preemptively.

Perhaps seeing people that inspires you, a continuation of the interesting story your colleague was talking about, that project you concocted, the new tasks you programmed to streamline for efficiency, the promotion you are eyeing, the pitch you've worked hard finally getting attention, the sale you have been pressing on, and many other things that motivates you enough to pin your Monday the most sought-after day of the week. Not Tuesday, not Friday either, and definitely not Wednesday either. You can't count on Thursday because people are frantic to speed this day to Friday, a TGIF kinda thing.

If Monday sets the tone for the rest of the week, then we ought to make a great plan out of it. Instead of Monday dragging and weighing you down, intentionally make it, plan it, believe in it, work hard for and in it. So much that the motivation goes beyond making a fortune out of it, because money when spent is motivation lost in a snap. Better yet, why not make your Mondays setting purposeful endeavors like meaningful talks with your boss and colleagues, helping one or two in the office with their difficulties, setting the high bar good vibes in school or at least in your class, a good chill music at home, that freshly brewed coffee, squeaky clean shoes, and that rightful confident look that you got this day, Monday.
