On the release of the 2021 Performance-Based Bonus
April 18, 2023 - The Department of Education (DepEd) is in coordination with the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring, Information and Reporting Systems (AO25 Secretariat) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) of its personnel.

The Department has already completed the submission to the AO25 Secretariat of the requirements for staff eligible to receive the PBB for 2021.

We understand that it is undergoing assessment now, and we look forward to its release as soon as possible.

We urge DepEd personnel not to fall into the treacherous tales intended to ignite distrust and anger against the agency —whipped up by shadowy groups whose intentions to cause harm and destroy are disguised as concern.

𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐀𝐆𝐋𝐄

On April 14, 2023, the DepEd SDO Baguio City held a tribute program to honor Federico P. Martin, EdD, CEdD, CESO V, the outgoing Schools Division Superintendent, for his achievements during his tenure. Organized by the DepEd SDO Baguio Management Team, including SDS Soraya T. Faculo, PhD, CESO VI, ASDS Christopher Benigno, PhD, CESO VI, CID Chief Juliet Sannad, and SGOD Chief Niño Tibangay, the program celebrated SDS Martin's calm, collected and wise leadership during his term from August 2021 to April 3, 2023.

CID Chief Juliet C. Sannad opened the program by thanking attendees and acknowledging SDS Martin's contributions to the growth and success of DepEd SDO Baguio City. She encouraged everyone to continue the legacy of excellence and leadership that SDS Martin manifested.

ASDS Christopher C. Benigno's heartfelt message was a moving and inspiring testament to their close working relationship. He shared some of his fondest memories of working with SDS Martin and how his leadership had positively impacted his life and career. His words of wisdom and encouragement inspired the participants to emulate SDS Martin's exemplary leadership and dedication to service.

Personalized tributes from DepEd SDO personnel, NAPSSHI members, and PESPA added to the program's memorable moments. Through songs, anecdotes, testimonials, and activities, they expressed their deep appreciation for SDS Martin's leadership and positive impact. The program's conclusion was marked by participants serenading the honoree with a touching song entitled "Thank You, We Had a Nice Time Together."

Before the tribute program, Rev. Fr. James Dexter Rojo Tanquis, OAR of Casiciaco Recoletos Seminary held a mass to offer gratitude to the almighty Creator for the services rendered by various DepEd SDO Baguio personnel and their future undertakings for the Schools Division of Baguio City.

The tributes from those who worked closely with SDS Martin highlighted his exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment to excellence, and selfless dedication to service.

The program was a fitting tribute to a remarkable leader who dedicated his life to the betterment of education in Baguio City, and the outpouring of love and admiration from those who had the privilege of working with him was a testament to his lasting legacy.

𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗛𝗜𝗡 | 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱, 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯

Hulyo 12, 2022 — Inilabas ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) ang mga gabay sa School Calendar and Activities para sa Taong Panuruan 2022-2023 alinsunod sa commitment nito sa pagpapatuloy ng 5 araw ng in-person classes.

Nilagdaan ni Bise Presidente at Kalihim Sara Z. Duterte nitong Lunes, itinatakda ng DepEd Order No. 034, series of 2022 ang pagsisimula ng klase sa Agosto 22 at magtatapos sa Hulyo 7, 2023. Magkakaroon ng 203 araw ng pasukan o maaaring matukoy ng karagdagang issuances kung sakaling may mga pagbabago sa kalendaryo ng paaralan dahil sa mga hindi inaasahang pangyayari.

Sa issuance, ibinibigay rin ng DepEd ang direksyon at gabay sa muling pagbubukas ng klase at ang unti-unting pagpapakilala ng 5 araw ng in-person learning modality classes.

Ayon sa DO 034, s. 2022, hindi kakailanganin ang mga inspeksyon, kasangkapan, o anumang karagdagang requirement upang muling buksan ang mga paaralan at sa pagpapatupad ng kinakailangan na limang (5) araw na in-person classes, maliban sa pagsunod sa mga karaniwang pre-pandemic regulatory permit at lisensya na kinakailangan sa pamamagitan ng batas o ordinansa.

Itinakda ng DepEd ang mga pagpipilian lamang na 5 na araw na person in-person classes, blended learning modality, at full distance learning hanggang Oktubre 31, 2022.

Simula Nobyembre 2, 2022, lahat ng pampubliko at pribadong eskuwelahan ay dapat sumusunod na sa 5 araw na in-person classes. Walang paaralan ang papayagang magpatupad ng purong distance learning o blended learning maliban sa mga nagpapatupad ng Alternative Delivery Modes na nakatakda sa DO 21, s. 2019 (Policy Guidelines on the K to 12 Basic Education Program) at DO 01, s. 2022 (Revised Policy Guidelines on Homeschooling Program).

Samantala, ang learning intervention para sa Alternative Learning System (ALS) ay opisyal na magsisimula sa nasabing petsa ng pagbubukas, habang ang itatagal ng programa ay nakadepende sa educational background ng estudyante o sa umiiral na antas ng kaalaman bago mag-enroll sa ALS program.

Kaugnay ng pagbubukas ng paaralan, iaaplay ang mga implementing guidelines sa School Calendar and Activities para sa SY 2022-2023 sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralang elementarya at sekondarya, kabilang ang Community Learning Centers (CLCs) sa buong bansa. Maaaring ipatupad ng mga pribadong paaralan, state/local na unibersidad, at kolehiyo ang kalendaryo. Maaari rin silang magsimula ng mga klase nang hindi mas maaga kaysa sa unang Lunes ng Hunyo at hindi lalampas sa huling araw ng Agosto.

Ang enrollment ay gaganapin mula Hulyo 25 hanggang Agosto 22, at ang Brigada Eskwela at Oplan Balik Eskwela ay isasagawa mula Agosto 1 hanggang 26 at sa Agosto 15, ayon sa pagkakabanggit.

Bukod pa rito, ang Basic Education Development Plan (BEDP) 2030, Learning Recovery and Continuity Plan (LRCP), at Classroom-based and System Assessments ay gagabay sa mga paaralan sa epektibong paghahatid ng K to 12 Basic Education Program sa gitna ng pandemya ng COVID-19.
