The special elections for the UPB CS Representatives will be held online. CS students, please check your email addresses for the link to the spelex ballot.
Please take note to follow the instructions indicated in the COMELEC 2026-002 resolution and fill out the form correctly. The voting period is from 9AM-5PM today.

The COMELEC hereby releases the official list of candidates for the 2026 UPB Student Council Special Elections.
This list includes all candidates certified as eligible for the Special Elections by the University Registrar, for a total of three candidates for College of Science Representative.
As the campaign period begins, we encourage everyone to get to know the candidates, engage in critical discussions and forums, and actively take part in the democratic process.

📝 NOTICE OF RESOLUTION
The UP Baguio Committee on Elections promulgates COMELEC Resolution No. 2026-0002, entitled “A Resolution Prescribing Procedures for the 2026 University Student Council Special Elections”.
The resolution outlines the calendar of activities, and procedures for the election of College of Science Representatives, in accordance with the provisions stated in COMELEC Resolution No. 2026-001.

ANNOUNCEMENT! 📢📢
The UPB Committee on Elections announces the opening of filing for Certificates of Candidacy, starting today, April 28, at 12:00 NN. Eligibility guidelines are available in Section IV of the 2026 IRR.
Prospective candidates can file the physical copy of their forms at the Student Relations Office. The filing deadline for COCs is on May 8, 12:00 NN.

Announcements from COMELEC📣📣📣
First of all, the COMELEC would like to thank the UP Baguio community for the successful conduct of this year’s 2026 Student Council Elections.
In light of on-going deliberations regarding reports filed by the community, the official proclamation of winning candidates will be delayed until said matters have been resolved. Formal communications regarding cases forwarded to the COMELEC will be sent to concerned individuals within the week.
Additionally, announcements regarding the schedule and conduct of the Special Elections for the College of Science will also be announced within the week.

PRELIMINARY VOTER TURNOUT UPDATE
COMELEC’s computation of the total votes as of closing of polls place the final turnout rate at 59.38%. 1,520 out of 2,560 voters cast their ballots in this year’s Student Council Elections.
