The cats of UPB are the beloved campus felines cared for by volunteers from the UP Baguio faculty, students, alumni, maintenance staff, and security guards. The cats of UPB are excited to see you when the campus opens again. They sleep for a good part and sun themselves often but when theyโ€™re up to it, they join your classes. If youโ€™re looking for ways to help the sweet cats of UPB, you may donate. Your donations will keep them well-fed and healthy and cover the costs of spaying.

Pss pss psst! ๐Ÿˆ This is a furriendly reminder to all to read these important guidelines on how to handle our campus cats. We believe each of us could do our part in contributing to a shared responsibility in making a safe and compassionate community for our campus cats, as well as the entire UPB community. ๐Ÿ”†๐Ÿซ‚

Listed below are the official guidelines for students:

๐Ÿ’– Do not Feed the Campus Cats. The campus cats are fed during fixed times of the day and at some designated spaces only. This is to maintain cleanliness and avoid unwanted habit from our cats.

๐Ÿ’– Refrain from petting or touching the campus cats for your safety. Our community cats have different personalities and not all cats want to be touched or carried.

๐Ÿ’– DO NOT bring or dump cats on campus! UP Baguio is not a shelter. We only have very limited resources and volunteers, and we can only handle the current population.

๐Ÿ’– In case of scratching or biting incidents, wash the affected are with water and soap and proceed to HSO for medical advice.

๐Ÿ’– Report sick or injured cats and inform us through our official channels

While Cats of UPB strives to help animals in need, our resources and volunteer capacity are limited. Tres is a familiar member of the campus cats. We are very concerned for his safety and well-being because he is ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ and it may be difficult for him to go back to his territory. His soft meow also makes it challenging for us to locate him.
