FAQ's of prospective transferees to Pines City College of Dentistry.

- over the past 12 mos i've been getting lot's of pm's from students who are thinking of transferring to this school for one reason and another. I hope this FAQ would help you in your decision to finally take the plunge and join us.

1. Sir, iba na daw po talaga jan? Balita namen hndi basta basta nakakapasa na din.
Ans: Well, you are going to be doctors one day dealing with peoples health and wellbeing. As such you will be trained to the best standards we can set. I myself wouldn't want to.be in the hands of a Dr. na pasang awa lang.

2. Sir, is it true that you don't have masters in teaching dentistry?
Ans: yes that is true because some of us have undergone years of residency training in our respective specialties. Some of us are currently finishing up our specialties while some of are still going to take up our masters. And besides when we were students like you none of our profs had academic masters then and we turned out just fine. The values instilled to us by our alma mater then are our guiding principles as your teachers now. And hopefully you turn out to be better Dr's than us.

3. Sir kamusta naman equipment nyo jan?
Ans: Our equipments leaves much to be desired however we have been steadily improving and have future plans that are yet to be executed. But that does not hamper us from delivering quality training to our students. Let me put it this way, a race between a lamborghini and a toyota corolla. hands down the sleek lambo would win anytime over the lumbering corolla that slowly but surely would cross the finish line a minute or two behind the lambo. Its not the equipment or the set up that would ensure you your sucess but your attitude and drive to suceed.

4. Sir, sabi neophytes daw kayo sa pagtuturo at lahat kayo part time teachers lang.
Ans: yes that is true however each teacher bring an average of 15 years of full time clinical practice and trainings into the college. What we have learned and experienced will directly benefit you. We can correlate and explain better what is in your text in a manner which you can understand more easily.
