๐™๐™Š๐˜ฟ๐˜ผ๐™”!

Sapid Elementary School marked a defining moment in its journey toward holistic education as it successfully conducted its Values Education Culminating Program; a celebration not merely of an activity completed, but of lives gradually transformed. The event stood as a powerful testament to the schoolโ€™s unwavering commitment to character formation, reinforcing the belief that true education goes beyond academic excellence and reaches into the heart of every learner.

The activity formed part of the schoolโ€™s flagship initiative, โ€œCultivating a Culture of Courtesy: A Values Initiative for Sapid Elementary,โ€ anchored on the Three Acts of Goodness. More than just a school program, the initiative reflects Sapid Elementaryโ€™s vision of nurturing learners who not only excel academically but also embody respect, kindness, and responsibility in their daily lives.

The culminating program served as a celebration of the learnersโ€™ journey in Values Education. Throughout the implementation period, pupils participated in structured Values Instruction Classes (VIC), where they engaged in meaningful discussions, reflections, and activities designed to strengthen positive behavior, empathy, and moral responsibility. These sessions allowed learners to internalize the importance of courtesy, integrity, and accountability in both school and community settings. As a symbol of their commitment and growth, learners were awarded Certificates of Completion for successfully finishing the Values Instruction Class.

A significant highlight of the program is the schoolโ€™s strong partnership with the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), led by of Rev. Domingo M. Dukipen, UCCP Admin Pastor. Through this collaboration, the school has enriched its Values Education program with spiritual guidance and community support, strengthening the foundation of faith-based and values-driven instruction.

During the program, Maโ€™am Paula Rosada emphasized the importance of living out the values learned inside the classroom. She reminded learners that courtesy, respect, and kindness must extend beyond school walls and be consistently practiced at home and in the community. According to her, values are best demonstrated through everyday actions through simple acts of goodness, honesty, and compassion.

In her closing message, School Principal Maโ€™am Juliet Daganos inspired the school community by reminding everyone that in everything we do, we must always give love and be grateful each day. She underscored that gratitude and love are powerful foundations of character, encouraging both learners and teachers to approach life with appreciation, humility, and sincerity.

The initiative also institutionalizes a regular First Monday Devotion, fostering a shared moment of reflection and spiritual grounding for the entire school community. On the succeeding Mondays, Values teachers are assigned per classroom to continue guided discussions and reinforcement of core values, ensuring that character formation becomes a consistent and sustained effort rather than a one-time activity.

The Values Education Culminating Program stands as a testament to Sapid Elementary Schoolโ€™s belief that education goes beyond textbooks and examinations. By cultivating courtesy, integrity, and compassion among its learners, the school continues to build not only academically capable pupils but also morally grounded individuals ready to contribute positively to society.

Indeed, through unity, partnership, and a shared commitment to goodness, Sapid Elementary School is shaping hearts as much as it shapes minds.
