Good mental health is key to parenting. According to Wolicki et al. (2021), the mental health of parents and children is connected in multiple ways. Parents who have their own mental health challenges, such as coping with symptoms of depression or anxiety, may have more difficulty providing care for their child compared to parents who describe their mental health as good.

Parents and the whole community are invited to join the first part of the free Parent Academy Webinar Series with the theme, “Empowering and Educating parents in the Time of COVID-19 Crisis” on February 15, 2022, 10:00 AM (PST) via Zoom and will be streamed live on Joaquin Smith National High School page.

Ms. Christine Gina D. Camsol, the Chapter Executive Manager of Philippine Mental Health Association - Cordillera Chapter, Inc., will discuss how to care for your mental health especially for our dear parents and guardians who may have been struggling with burnout with feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, or depression especially in this time of pandemic.
