✈️ STELA STUDENTS SET SIGHTS ON TAIWAN 🇹🇼

The UB School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) will be sending two of its students to Sun Yat-sen University for the 2026 Taiwan Summer University Program!

Aimed at enhancing language learning and promoting cultural exchange, the Taiwan Summer University Program is a wonderful opportunity that allows students to learn Mandarin while immersing themselves in Taiwanese culture.

Ms. Bea Basio and Ms. Sarjet Calion, both from the Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English, will be departing on July 26, 2026 and will be staying until August 3, 2026.

Heads up, UBians! The DBP INSPIRE scholarship program for incoming Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) students at the University of Baguio is still accepting applicants for A.Y. 2026–2027!

Brought by a partnership between the university's School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), this opportunity provides support to deserving, financially challenged students aspiring to pursue teacher education and become the educators of tomorrow! 📚

The DBP INSPIRE Scholarship Program is designed to provide assistance to exceptional scholars pursuing a bachelor of elementary education degree. Approval and continuity depend on meeting the established scholarship criteria, adhering to DBP policies, passing the screening process, and satisfying all retention regulations.

🌐 Eligible Participants:
🔸 Incoming first-year college students or higher-level college students
🔸 Filipino citizens with GMC supported by a recommendation letter (from previous school)
🔸 Family or Guardians with an annual net income not exceeding Php 150,000.00
🔸 GWA of at least 85% (no final grade below 80% from the previous school term)
🔸 No existing scholarship or study grant from other benefactors
🔸 Must satisfy University of Baguio admission requirements
