Liteng Extension Shines at Division Festival of Talents 2025
Baguio City โ Rizal Elementary School Liteng Extension proudly showcased its academic excellence at the Division Festival of Talents 2025, held on February 12โ13 at SDO Baguio and Mabini Elementary School.
Leading the school's achievements, Mheldee Gwyneth Licadang, a Grade 6 pupil, secured first place in the ESP TAGIS TALINO competition, marking her second consecutive victory in the event. Having also won last year, she previously represented the division at the regional level.
Meanwhile, Grade 3 pupil Lorraine Espada actively participated in the LIKHAWENTO contest, demonstrating dedication and enthusiasm.
With these accomplishments,DepEd Tayo Rizal Elementary School Liteng Extension continues to uphold its tradition of excellence, inspiring and bringing pride to the school community.

The District 1 Festival of Talents, held on February 8, 2025, at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School, was a lively celebration of talent, creativity, and excellence!

Ziljan Wins Cash Prize in Childrenโs Got Talent
Ziljan Chris S. Padon won a cash prize in the 2024 Childrenโs Got Talent under solo singing category last November 16 at the Barangay Pacdal Covered Court.
Ziljan was the only entry i n the solo singing for children so he won the prize for the champion. The cash prize was awarded to him on December 6 at the Brgy. Hall with Kagawad Mario Delos Reyes and Kagawad Linda C. Dulo who awarded the prize.He sang the John Lennon song: Imagine. Ziljan is currently a grade three pupil at Rizal Elementary School Liteng Extension. The event was a project of the Federation of Barangay Council for the Protection of Children, in coordination with Baguio City Government and the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ Rizal Elementary School Liteng Extension wrapped up its month-long English and Reading Month celebration on December 3, 2024, with a culminating event themed, "English as a Global Language: Bridging Cultures, Connecting the World".
Rizal Elementary School Liteng Extension wrapped up its month-long English and Reading Month celebration on December 3, 2024, with a culminating event themed, "English as a Global Language: Bridging Cultures, Connecting the World," under the leadership of Ma'am Elizabeth Alberto.
Despite the lack of a formal stage, the event proceeded with great excitement, demonstrating the teachers' and pupils' resiliency. The road became the stage for this meaningful activity, emphasizing the importance of the event despite challenges.
Throughout the month, learners participated in grade-level contests after classes and during lunch breaks to avoid interrupting lessons. The contests included a Bookface Contest for Kindergarten, Poem Recitation for Grade 1, Draw and Tell for Grade 2, Story Retelling for Grade 3, Poster and Slogan Making for Grade 4, Story Writing for Grade 5, and Interpretative Reading for Grade 6. Winners were awarded a Certificate of Recognition and books to foster a love of reading.
A highlight of the day was the Book Character Costume Parade, where learners dressed as their favorite book characters. The event also featured a storytelling session by Mrs. Emily S. Malecdan, a volunteer Story Ambassador, who captivated the learners with engaging tales.
The activity celebrated the learners' creativity and underscored the importance of English and reading in bridging cultures, fostering global connections, and broadening horizons.

Beliano, Dumot, Licadang, Taganas Rule District I Sci-Dama; Math Quiz Bee
Rafael Crisanto Beliano and Kyeden Kyros Dumot claimed victory in the Sci-Dama Grades 3 and 4 competition, respectively. While, Xelshine Blossom Taganas and Mheldee Gwyneth Licadang topped the Grade 6 Mathematics Quiz Bee, securing the highest scores in their respective categories during the District I Science and Mathematics Festivals held on October 19 at Manuel Luis Quezon Elementary School.
Eighteen learners from Rizal Elementary School Extension participated in the District I event. Notable performers include Xian Clark Taganas (3rd place, Grade 3 Damath), Kyle Benedict Mondiguing (4th place, Grade 4 Damath), Erin Louise Fernandez (6th place, Grade 5 Damath), and Juliane Daguasi (2nd place, Grade 6 Damath). In Sci-Dama, Angela Perez (4th place, Grade 5) and Noraine Fontanilla (4th place, Grade 6) also performed well. In the Math Quiz Bee, Lorraine Edpada and Xiljan Chris Padon placed 3rd for Grade 3, while Marlyn Faye Sipol and Mheldee Anne Licadang placed 3rd for Grade 4. Cassidy Mia Lledo and Alexzha Kei Tamondong earned 2nd place for Grade 5.
In the Science Quiz Bee, Renjie Krayton Goway (4th place, Grade 3), Jhenny Rose Daguasi (4th place, Grade 4), Liam Luis Liban (6th place, Grade 5), and Jeaniel Kristine Padon (2nd place, Grade 6) also stood out.
The learners were guided by their teacher-coaches, including Melody Rosaroso (Grades 3 and 4 Damath), Sunshine Ramos (Grades 3 and 4 Sci-Dama), Shaira Joy Abaya (Grades 5 and 6 Sci-Dama), Audrey Calines (Grade 6 Damath), Lilian Gaces (Grade 3 Math Quiz Bee), Perlita Liban (Grade 5 Science Quiz Bee), and Alexandria Diguel (Grades 5 and 6 Math Quiz Bee).
The top two placers will move on to represent the district in the Division level competition later this month.
During the opening ceremony, the Inspirational Speaker emphasized that Science and Mathematics are not just academic subjects but are essential tools for understanding the world and unlocking countless possibilities in the universe.
