Our organization started with a goal of making the world a better place to live in through planting, environmental education, and raising awareness in schools. We had succeeded for a while, but no matter what efforts are made to achieve the goal, the world will not be a “better place” without Palestinians in it.

While there are more funding and help opportunities for Palestinian people, there are only few for the animals affected by the genocide. Animals in Gaza are not spared.

There is no information about how many animals have been killed or died from thirst, starvation, injuries, lack of veterinary care, or being trapped after the bombings yet, but there are 47 Zoos and Sanctuaries that are bombed. Sulala Animal Rescue and Four Paws are the only organization we know as of the moment in Gaza that helps cats, dogs, and displaced animals despite the dangerous situation.

GECO believes that to plant is to be a steward of a better tomorrow. Being today's best furrow is the act of contributing to the greenery inside our campus.

So be a today's best furrow. Be someone who takes the time to till the soil, to plant the seeds, and to nurture the crop. Be someone who cares about the future and works to ensure that it is bright and abundant. And in doing so, you will become a steward of good tomorrow, leaving a legacy that will last for generations to come.

Hello! We are GECO! 🦎

Have you observed the lack of foliage in our campus? This inadequacy of greenery can affect our current health status. That's why GECO (Green Ecology) strives to improve air quality and provide exposure to a green environment that will help you connect more with nature and experience the health benefits that these plants give off for free.

A group of Fifteen Grade 12 Students from STEM H SAINT Cecilia is delighted to introduce GECO, a student-led initiative that promotes green ecology. GECO strives to promote environmental consciousness and sustainable practices through raising awareness and installing a vertical garden that will enhance the environment, air quality, and overall well-being of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff of Saint Louis University Laboratory High Senior High School.

GECO aims to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices, ensuring a greener future for generations to come.
