Dahil sa patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan dulot ng Habagat, naglabas ang Malacañang ng Memorandum Circular No. 128 na nag-uutos ng alternative work arrangements sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan sa Baguio at iba pang tinukoy na lugar sa Agosto 18, 2026. 📢

Samantala, ipatutupad ang alternative learning modes sa lahat ng antas sa pampubliko at pribadong paaralan, maliban kung may ibang direktiba ang lokal na punong ehekutibo. Ang hakbang ay bahagi ng pagtugon ng pamahalaan sa banta ng matinding pag-ulan at kalamidad. 🌧️

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong has suspended face-to-face classes from Preschool to Grade 12 in both public and private schools on Monday, August 17, 2026 due to the Yellow Rainfall Warning issued by PAGASA.

To ensure learning continuity, schools shall implement the appropriate alternative delivery modalities, including:
• Modular Distance Learning
• Online Distance Learning
• Blended Learning, where applicable

Public schools shall implement the appropriate HINAY Protocol in accordance with Department of Education (DepEd) guidelines to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of learning.

The public is advised to remain vigilant and monitor official weather and safety advisories. In case of emergencies, call 911.

In view of the latest weather advisories indicating the termination of active thunderstorm warnings, there is currently no recommendation for the suspension of classes.

FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES WILL PROCEED IN ALL LEVELS, both public and private schools tomorrow, August 12, 2026 except Happy Hollow Elementary School, which has suspended face-to-face classes temporarily due to current unavailability.

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong has suspended face-to-face classes from Preschool to Grade 12 in both public and private schools on Tuesday, August 11, due to inclement weather brought by the Southwest Monsoon.

To ensure the continuity of learning, schools shall implement the appropriate alternative delivery modalities, including:
Modular Distance Learning
Online Distance Learning
Blended Learning

Public schools shall implement the appropriate HINAY Protocol in accordance with Department of Education (DepEd) guidelines to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of learning.

The suspension of face-to-face classes at the college level shall be at the discretion of university and college administrators, taking into consideration their respective assessments and recommendations.

●University of the Cordilleras: Classes are not suspended.

●Saint Louis University: Classes are not suspended. However, students who are unable to travel due to weather conditions will be excused.

●University of Baguio: Will implement asynchronous learning until the end of the week, until August 14.

●Baguio Central University: Will implement asynchronous learning until the end of the week, until August 14.

●Easter College Baguio: Classes are suspended.

●University of the Philippines Baguio: Will implement asynchronous learning.

The list of decisions from the universities will be updated once universities give updates.

The Number Coding Scheme is likewise SUSPENDED on Monday, August 10, 2026.
