After meeting all the requirements set by the concerned agencies, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has allowed a total of six Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to hold limited face-to-face classes amid the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the country.

This is an update from the meeting yesterday regarding Learning Pockets and online/offline learning.

- Mode is asynchronous and synchronous learning. Virtual lessons were given already to some sections but to my daughter's section none. Updated the GLA yesterday. Kindly monitor your children.

- Regarding modules, they say that we have the most comprehensive and less number of pages making our school a model for this...training other schools too.

- We follow all DEPED's requirements and passed.

- We follow DEPED's curriculum per grade level with a twist, making us different from Public schools. (Harder in short)

- Teachers are advised to be linient with deadline of submissions of modules due to internet glitches and for parents working and couldn't assist their children with assignments.

- By second grading period ARALINKS will be used fully by our children. Note that link will be BILINGUAL...it can be in english or tagalog.

- According to Assistant Principal teach your child to be independent learners, be more analytical, critical than theoretical.

- There will be no periodical exams, exam grades will be from performing task which is 20%, , 40% written and 40% evaluative.

- As per DEPED's order grades should be either passing or failing but since we are a private school, we can modify or follow the same grading from last year. We follow the later.

- For children undergoing stress and depression, they can be assisted by our guidance office.

- That the office is open for any suggestions and is open to answer querries.

- That if you wish to shift your children from online to offline, the school said it is ok, whichever is more convenient to the childs learning.

- Please also note teachers who don't answer querries of your children about assignments, this is a no no to the school.

- Tell your children not to copy answers specially for essays because the school has called attention of some.

- Other matters are about school improvements, projects and future plans for learning for our children.

- School suggested for Virtual Voting for the Parent's Advisory Council...you may submit your names if you are willing to be a class representative, willing to go to school on the assigned date for the votation of officers for 2020-2021. Willing to represent Parents as needed by the office.

Do you feel this way too? 😀😀😀 Assignments are ok but do it moderately. Plus the fact that they just learn on their own...no support just reading materials.
