POST-EARTHQUAKE DEBRIEFING FOR OUR PUPILS ❤️

In the wake of yesterday's strong earthquake, the administrators, teachers, and staff immediately took action to ensure our learners' recovery.

The safety of our pupils is our absolute top priority, not just physically, but emotionally as well. These photos capture today's debriefing sessions, designed to provide a safe space for our pupils to process the event and receive the support they need. 🌟

Reminder to parents: If you observe that your child is still experiencing distress because of the earthquake, you may proceed and refer them to the BEdS LED CCW for further guidance. ❤️

Even When the Ground Has Shaken, Our Courage Remains Steady.

An earthquake may last only a few moments, but the feelings it leaves behind can stay with us a little longer. If you still feel nervous, startled, or worried, remember that these feelings are completely normal. What matters most is knowing how to stay calm and safe. 🌿✨

At the Center for Counseling and Wellness, we encourage everyone to be kind to themselves and to others after a frightening experience. By staying calm, supporting one another, and following safety reminders, we can recover together.

Note to Parents and Guardians: If you notice that your child is still showing signs of emotional distress following the recent earthquake, please know that support is readily available. You may refer them to the BEdS LED CCW to ensure they receive the specialized care and guidance they need during this time. ❤️

Last week, our young Louisians once again filled the halls of the Saint Louis University Basic Education School - Laboratory Elementary Department with their bright smiles and cheerful laughter. 😊✨
At the Center for Counseling and Wellness, we believe that before children can flourish in the classroom, they must first know that they are welcomed, valued, and cared for. With this in mind, we prepared a simple booth, not merely as a place to visit, but as a warm invitation for our learners to experience the spirit of kindness, connection, and belonging that our office hopes to nurture throughout the school year. ❤️
We hope that through every smile exchanged, every future activity shared, and every moment spent together, our young Louisians are reminded that they are never alone. Our doors are always open to listen, encourage, and support them as they grow not only in knowledge, but also in confidence, resilience, and compassion.
As another chapter begins, may every Louisian continue to discover the joy of learning and the comfort of knowing that they are part of a community that believes in them.

Pupils of SLU-BEDS Laboratory Elementary Department proudly celebrated Anti-Bullying through creativity, teamwork, and meaningful expression. Pupils participated in flag making, where they designed powerful symbols and messages promoting respect, unity, and kindness. During friendship bracelet making, they made bracelets as reminders that everyone deserves support and true friendship. They also showcased their artistic talents in katcha bag painting, creating colorful designs that reflected positivity, courage, and standing up against bullying. 🌟💗

We are also proud to recognize the winners in each category, whose creativity and heartfelt messages truly stood out. Congratulations to all our participants for sharing their talents and for helping spread awareness in such inspiring ways! 👏🎉

More than just a celebration, this event reminded us that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Together, we continue building a safe, inclusive, and bully-free school community where every child feels valued and respected. 💖✨💗

In preparing our Grade 6 Louisians for the next chapter of their academic journey, the Center for Counseling and Wellness proudly spearheaded the Self-Direction Seminar—a program designed to guide and empower graduating pupils as they step into the exciting world of high school. 🌟🎉

Over the course of the five-day seminar—structured as one dedicated session for each of the five Grade 6 sections—the pupils actively participated in meaningful activities designed to nurture self-reflection, a sense of purpose, personal competence, and kindness. ❤️

This initiative empowers pupils to blossom into self-directed individuals, equipped with the right mindset and values to thrive amid the whirlwind of challenges in high school. It celebrates their capacity to learn with grace, embrace their youth responsibly, and build the courage to face life’s obstacles with confidence. ☘️✨

Through these united efforts of the Louisian community, it reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe, compassionate, and empowered environment where every learner can flourish. 🥰💫
