Microscope is a crucial tool when studying organisms on a micro scale. Basically, this optical instrument directs the entering light wave into a series of convex lenses to produce a detailed and magnified image of the organism(s) of study.
Innovation of microscope through the years has lead us to achieve quality images that help us to have a comprehensive understanding of microorganisms. This device allowed us to magnify our knowledge about microbial diversity and enrich different areas of life.

Ever heard of β¨ Soil Microbiologists β¨?
If you havenβt, then here is Sergei Winogradsky for you!
Sergei Winogradsky, dubbed the "Founder of Soil Microbiology," was a Russian scientist who made significant breakthroughs to modern microbiology.
Isolating nitrifying bacteria, the Winogradsky column, and a description of the oxidation of hydrogen sulfide, sulfur, and ferrous iron were among his contributions. All of this eventually resulted in the concept of chemolithotrophy, for which he is best known.
Kinda hard to understand eh? π₯΄
Well, BIO120 Group 6C presents you 5 memes to brighten your day, and let you have fun while learning more about him and his contributions.
