As School Year 2024-2025 opens, the Department of Education reiterated that the membership fees for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines are exempted from the “No Collection Policy”.

Through the issuance of DepEd Memorandum No. 041, s. 2024, the DepEd reiterated the exemption from the'No Collection Policy' consistent with the provisions of Republic Act No. 4206. This paves the way for the continuous membership of learners to the BSP as a recognized co-curricular activity by the DepEd.

🧭 Magnetic North
Definition: The direction that a magnetic compass points, aligned with the Earth's magnetic field.
Location: Moves over time due to changes in Earth's magnetic field (currently in the Arctic region of Canada).

🌍 True North
Definition: The direction pointing straight towards the geographic North Pole, where Earth's axis of rotation meets the surface.
Location: Fixed point; does not move.
Use: Maps, GPS, and astronomical observations.

🗺️ Grid North
Definition: The direction of north along the vertical lines (meridians) on a map's grid (usually on topographic maps).
Location: Based on map projection, fixed point, not Earth's surface.
Use: Reading and plotting bearings on grid-based maps (like UTM or Ordnance Survey).
