Today, as the world and the country comes together to celebrate 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲, allow me to extend my warmest greetings and my deepest appreciation to each and every one of you who continue to dedicate your lives in service of the Filipino learners.
Teaching is not merely a profession—it is a lifelong calling. It is a vocation that demands both the strength of the mind and the compassion of the heart. Let me take this solemn moment to acknowledge that 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. Through your tireless efforts, you mold the minds that will someday lead our communities, govern our institutions, and carry the torch of change for this country. Each word you utter, each lesson you plan, and each life you touch becomes a ripple that shapes a better future for our nation.

You carry enormous responsibilities—often beyond the classroom—managing learners' academic needs, addressing their emotional struggles, and adjusting to policy changes and educational reforms. That is why today, I say this with unwavering sincerity: 𝐖𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐖𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
The Department of Education (DepEd) is relentlessly working to 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, strengthen support systems, and improve the overall conditions of the teaching profession. Technical assistance, capacity-building programs, provision of resources, and curriculum improvements are being implemented to help you not just survive but 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 in your noble mission.
