For 15 years, Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Bagac Campus quietly operated in the background as a modest extension site of the Main and Dinalupihan campuses. It was not until 2023 that it earned its full status as a standalone campus.
Now, three years after gaining independence, 2026 has marked a breakthrough year for Bagac Campus - defined by a series of record-breaking student achievements in academic excellence, board examination performance, and university governance.
Leading this historic wave of milestones are three student leaders who have set new precedents for the campus community: Trisha Nojadera, Chuzslyn Jane Mamangon, and Axcel Nojadera.
The campus achieved a major milestone in national board examinations when Trisha Nojadera secured the 8th spot among the top performers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). Her achievement marks the first time a graduate from BPSU Bagac Campus has placed as a national LET topnotcher, proving the campusโs status as a training ground for future educators.
At this yearโs university-wide commencement exercises, Chuzslyn Jane Mamangon achieved a historic double victory for the campus. She graduated as one of the first Magna Cum Laude honorees in BPSU Bagac history, setting a new academic standard for the student body. In addition, Mamangon was chosen to deliver the official Vote of Thanksโbecoming the first representative from Bagac Campus to deliver the valedictory address on behalf of the graduating class during Cluster C of the 2026 Commencement Ceremonies.
Bagac Campus also secured a historic seat in university policymaking with the election of Axcel Nojadera as the first Student Regent hailing from the campus. Sitting on the BPSU Board of Regentsโthe institutionโs highest decision-making bodyโNojadera now represents the student body across all BPSU campuses, ensuring Bagacโs direct involvement in university-wide administration and strategic planning.
From a quiet extension site to a stage for national achievers, BPSU Bagac Campus has proven that progress is not determined by campus size, but by the grit of its people. The trailblazing achievements of Trisha, Chuzslyn, and Axcel are more than just names on a hall of fame. They are proof to every student walking these halls that excellence can thrive anywhere. As Bagac Campus steps into this new chapter, one thing is clear: its story of breaking barriers has only just begun.
