Congratulations! Your child has completed Level A, strengthening addition and subtraction skills and developing greater speed, accuracy, and confidence in calculation.

Up next: Level B!
They will progress to more advanced addition and subtraction, where their mental calculation foundation becomes increasingly important.

Parents, this is a good time to begin stepping back little by little. 💙 Allow your child to read the worksheet, think, calculate, and correct independently whenever possible.

They may still make mistakes and that’s okay. The goal isn’t to remove every difficulty for them, but to help them develop the ability to work through difficulty themselves.

The less they need us to do the thinking for them, the more confident learners they become.

💙 Learning Wednesday: Better Communication, Better Kumon Experience

Today was another fun and meaningful learning opportunity for our team!

We took a deeper look at the communication practices we currently have—what works well, what we can strengthen, and how we can communicate more effectively throughout the different stages of a Kumon student’s journey.

Our goal is simple: to make sure every parent receives clear, timely, and helpful information, and experiences professional and consistent Kumon communication—even before enrollment begins.

We discussed different scenarios that we commonly encounter at the Center and developed possible communication plans for each one. The team also had the chance to role-play these situations, allowing each Teacher to practice how they would respond, listen to different approaches, and reflect on areas where we can still improve.

Because providing a good Kumon experience goes beyond teaching worksheets. It is also about building trust, understanding our parents’ concerns, communicating our students’ progress clearly, and making sure families feel supported throughout their Kumon journey.

And just like our students, we continue to learn, reflect, practice, and improve—one step at a time. 💙
