As part of the ๐˜๐€๐Š๐€๐ ๐Œ๐‹๐’ ๐๐”๐’๐Ž initiative, the ๐๐’๐Œ๐‹๐’ ๐Ÿ๐€ successfully conducted "Oplan Bye-Bye Bulate: Bulate Free Kami!", an Integrated Health Promotion Program on the Prevention of Intestinal Parasitic Infections among the residents of ๐”น๐•’๐•ฃ๐•’๐•Ÿ๐•˜๐•’๐•ช ๐•Š๐•š๐•Ÿ๐•“๐•’๐•Ÿ๐•’๐•๐•š, ๐”น๐•’๐•”๐• ๐• ๐•ฃ โ„‚๐•š๐•ฅ๐•ช, โ„‚๐•’๐•ง๐•š๐•ฅ๐•– on ๐—๐˜‚๐—น๐˜† ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿต, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ.

The outreach initiative aimed to promote awareness on intestinal parasitic infections by educating the community on their causes, transmission, prevention, and the importance of proper hygiene and sanitation. Through interactive health education, meaningful discussions, and community engagement, the program empowered residents with practical knowledge to help reduce the risk of parasitic diseases and encourage healthier lifestyles.

Every July, the Philippines observes ๐•น๐–†๐–™๐–Ž๐–”๐–“๐–†๐–‘ ๐•ฏ๐–Š๐–œ๐–”๐–—๐–’๐–Ž๐–“๐–Œ ๐•ธ๐–”๐–“๐–™๐– to promote the health and well-being of children and communities by preventing intestinal worm infections. The campaign encourages parents, schools, and health workers to participate in regular deworming activities that protect children from soil-transmitted helminths (intestinal worms), which can affect their growth, nutrition, learning, and overall health.

Although intestinal worm infections are preventable and treatable, they remain a public health concern in areas with poor sanitation and limited access to clean water. Through the Department of Healthโ€™s deworming program, free deworming medicines are provided to eligible children to reduce the burden of these infections.

Together, let us support National Deworming Month by promoting proper hygiene, sanitation, and participation in community deworming activities. A healthy child grows stronger, learns better, and enjoys a brighter future. โœจ๐Ÿ’š
