In this seminar, we will reflect on how a biblical understanding of man helps shape faithful, gospel-centered, and pastorally wise preaching.
This is open to pastors, elders, Bible teachers, ministry workers, seminary students, and anyone who desires to grow in understanding how Godās Word speaks to the whole person.

Should we read the Bible for breadth or study it for depth?
The answer is: both.
Reading broadly helps us become familiar with the whole story of ScriptureāGodās redemptive plan fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Without seeing the big picture, we may miss how the different parts of the Bible connect and point us to Christ.
At the same time, studying deeply helps us understand the meaning, context, and richness of particular books and passages.
For example, when studying Hebrews, it helps greatly if we are already familiar with Exodus and Leviticus. The more we know the whole Bible, the better we understand its individual parts.
So donāt choose between Bible reading and Bible study.
Read for breadth.
Study for depth.
And in all of Scripture, seek to know Christ more.

Is it possible na tama ang preaching, pero hindi talaga nourished ang mga taong nakikinig?
Some preaching can be doctrinally correct but cold and disconnected. Other preaching can be engaging and emotional, but shallow and lacking depth. But faithful preaching must be shaped by both a right understanding of Godās Word and a biblical understanding of man.

In this second session from our 2025 seminar, āTrue Faith, True Worship,ā Elder Norlan de Groot, instructor from MINTS International Seminary, gives a quick survey of Reformation history, highlighting key figures God used to recover the clarity of the gospel.
This session also introduces the Five Solas of the Reformation:
Sola Scriptura ā Scripture Alone
Sola Gratia ā Grace Alone
Sola Fide ā Faith Alone
Solus Christus ā Christ Alone
Soli Deo Gloria ā To the Glory of God Alone
These are not just historical slogans.
They remind us that salvation is revealed sufficiently in the Scripture alone, as entirely by Godās grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, and for Godās glory alone.
We pray this session helps you grow in your understanding of the gospel and the historic Christian faith.

Theology or practical?
Wrong question.
The Christian life is both.
Theology is not meant to stay in your head.
And practice is not meant to stand on its own.
When you understand justification by faith,
you gain confidence to come to God.
When you work faithfully,
itās because Christ is your Lord.
The church doesnāt need less theology.
And it doesnāt need shallow āpracticalā teaching.
It needs both.
Because when doctrine is ignored, life becomes shallow.
And when practice is ignored, truth becomes lifeless.
Right theology leads to right living.
Truth shapes life. Life reflects truth.
