The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has started implementing an online platform for Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) as part of the digital shift that was ordered by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. for all government services.

LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II said the Online Theoretical Driving Course (OTDC) is a program designed to offer students the option of undertaking the required TDC in applying for driver’s license.

“This will provide a flexible and accessible learning experience which our Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista has been pusing under the Bagong Pilipinas,” said Assec Mendoza.

“The implementation of OTDC heralds a significant shift is a shift driving educalion that will allow individuals, specially professionals, and students, balancing work or academic commitment, the flexibility to pursue this course remotely, within the comfort of their homes, at their own pace, during their free time, at the office, or nn any locatlon that suits them,” he added.

Assec Mendoza said the program is also beneficial to the overseas Filipino workers.

Under the program, the applicants will have the option to choose the online platform that will connect them to LTO-accredited driving schools that are given the permit to operate the online TDC.

The applicants will then enlist themselves online by filling out the necessary forms and online payment.

The applicants will also have the responsibility to complete the TDC program and pass the necessary exam for the issuance of the certificate from the driving schools once the applicants apply for student permit.

Assec Mendoza said the LTO is also embarking on other measures to facilitate and make all the transactions in the agency scam-free.

“We are employing technology-aided solution to ensure that the person taking the course is indeed the driver’s license applicant,” said Assec Mendoza.

Assec Mendoza said he already directed all LTO personnel to maximize the dissemination of information on the availability of the OTDC through the use of social media.

“It is imperative that all applicants are made fully aware of this accredited online option, which is designed to enhançe the convenience and efficiency of obtaining a Student Drivers Permit,” said Assec Mendoza. #

Inihayag ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang extension ng validity ng driver's license na nag-expire mula nuong Abril 24, 2023. Mayruong hanggang Oktubre 31, 2023 ang bisa ng inyong mga driver's license na nangangahulugan na maaari po kayong magpa-renew ano mang araw sa panahon na ito nang walang multa.

Sakaling mahuli sa paglabag sa batas-trapiko, kikilalanin pa rin ng mga LTO law enforcer at deputized agents ang bisa ng inyong expired na driver's license.

DriveSafe PH Bids Farewell to Our Online Theoretical Driving Course

Greetings of Responsible & Safe Driving!

At DriveSafe PH, we understand that driving is an essential skill that requires constant learning and improvement. That's why we have always been committed to providing you with the best Online Theoretical Driving Course (OTDC) experience.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that we can no longer offer our OTDC course, effective immediately, as per the recent memorandum from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) dated April 17, 2023, despite our LTO Accreditation being valid until November 2026.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience and disappointment to some of you, and we empathize with your situation.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to you for choosing DriveSafe PH as your Online Theoretical Driving Course provider. We are proud to have played a part in your journey towards becoming responsible and ethical road users.

We know that some of you are still enrolled in our OTDC course, and we are working closely with LTO to request a grace period for you to finish the course. In the meantime, we highly recommend that you complete the course as soon as possible.

To all Gear-1 students,

Good day!
In line with the memorandum circular JMT-2023-2390 which will be implemented tomorrow April 15,2023. We are encouraging all our students who are enrolled in OTDC to finish the online course and take your final exam until tomorrow April 15.
For those students who were holding an old certificate(ACES)-(given before March 24,2023), you are hereby advised to please contact the driving school branch personnel you are enrolled in and have your certificate re-encode to the new system(LTMS). Old certificates will no longer be accepted in LTO.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and also for the short notice because these changes also came to our knowledge just today.

Dear Valued Student Drivers,

We are happy to inform you that DriveSafe PH 2.0 has arrived, with improved features and an upgraded Online Theoretical Driving Course (OTDC), available in English and Visaya!

With this, on October 16, 2022, Sunday will be the LAST DAY of using the current DriveSafe PH system. Hence, we advise all currently enrolled student drivers to finish the OTDC on or before October 16, 2022.

If you cannot finish your OTDC before October 16, please contact DriveSafe PH Customer Support via Facebook or the Website.

If you have already completed the course, kindly disregard this advisory.

ONLINE THEORETICAL DRIVING COURSE (OTDC)

Dear Partner Driving Schools and Valued Student-Drivers,

The DriveSafe PH application and website are now fully operational, and our IT team monitors the system.

COURSE UPDATE

The deadline for the Course Update will remain on January 1, 2022, at 11:59 pm to allow the prompt implementation of application corrections and upgrades.

To those who will not finish the course on January 1, you may send us a screenshot of your progress on December 30 - 31, 2021 at [email protected].

We are willing to update your progress manually.

TEMPORARY ACCOUNT DEACTIVATION

Meanwhile, we will implement a TEMPORARY ACCOUNT DEACTIVATION for student drivers who have not finished their Online Theoretical Driving Course (OTDC) with DriveSafe PH in 30 days.

Who will be affected by the TEMPORARY ACCOUNT DEACTIVATION?

Student drivers who take more than a month to finish the course will be temporarily deactivated. The reason is that they contribute to the slow performance of our website.

What if I don't finish the course in 30 days?

Nothing to worry about! If you think 30 days is not enough for your OTDC with DriveSafe PH, you may request ACCOUNT REACTIVATION with our Support Staff anytime you want to continue. Simply send us an email at [email protected], or you may reach us through our page, DriveSafe PH.

When is the start of the TEMPORARY ACCOUNT DEACTIVATION?

The implementation of the Temporary Account Deactivation will start on January 3, 2022.
