In celebration of National Women's Month, the SDRRM Council highlighted the Female Youth Leaders by wearing a 💜 Purple Shirt on the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill!

𝟭𝗦𝗧 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗪𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟
March 12, 2026

Yesterday, the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Council of Eastern Bacoor National High School successfully participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for the 1st Quarter of 2026.

Prior to the conduct of the drill, Jerick R. Alvarez, SDRRM President, called for a short pre-drill briefing with the Class Presidents of Grade 8 and Grade 9 to orient them on the proper procedures before, during, and after an earthquake. The orientation ensured that student leaders understood their roles in assisting teachers and guiding their classmates during the emergency simulation.

Following the briefing, Mr. Alvarez also convened a coordination meeting with the participating youth organizations and school clubs to discuss their respective responsibilities in facilitating the drill, including crowd management, monitoring evacuation routes, and ensuring the safety and orderly movement of learners.

At exactly 3:30 PM, Easternian learners and teachers performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure inside their classrooms upon the drill signal. This was followed by an orderly evacuation through the designated evacuation routes toward the identified safe zones within the school grounds.

By 3:33 PM, all participating students had safely arrived at their designated evacuation areas. By 3:40 PM, assigned youth organization officers conducted a thorough inspection of all buildings, floors, and classrooms to ensure that no students or teachers were left behind. After confirming that all areas were cleared, the officers reported “All Clear” to the SDRRM leadership.

PREPARATORY MEETING | March 11, 2026

In line with Eastern Bacoor National High School's goal to promote Disaster Awareness, the school will be participating in the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) this March 12, 2026 at exactly 3:30 PM.

With this, the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Team of Eastern Bacoor National High School called representatives from various Student Organizations and Clubs for a preparatory meeting.

The meeting was attended by the Supreme Secondary Learner's Government (SSLG), Red Cross Youth (RCY), Teen Health Kiosk (THK), Wash In Schools (WinS) Club, Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), ans Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP).

Mr Jerick Alvarez, SDRRM President / Executive Officer, discussed briefly the roles and responsibilities of the participating Clubs and Organizations, ensuring that the drill will have a smooth ex*****on.
