On November 14, 2025, the Supreme Student Council (SSC) of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA – Molino Campus held a parliamentary session attended by the Head of the Student Affairs and Services (SAS), Dr. Michelle Vincoy, together with the executive officers of the council and board members representing the 13 colleges.

The session was formally called to order by the Parliament Head of the SSC, Mr. John Gabriel Corpuz. During the proceedings, Mr. Raneses of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education raised a motion emphasizing that the election process for the Supreme Student Council must uphold fair and democratic guidelines that will ensure equal representation and opportunities for all students. The motion was unanimously approved by the body.

The discussion also highlighted the changes in the eligibility guidelines for aspiring SSC officers. Previously, only elected board members were allowed to run for positions within the Supreme Student Council. However, under the newly approved guidelines, all bona fide college students who meet the required qualifications, including at least one year of residency and other necessary requirements, may now file their candidacy. Eligible students may also establish and participate in political partylists.

The resolution was further strengthened through the endorsement of the SAS Head and was officially approved by the School Director, Dr. Reno Rayel last month. The approved election guidelines will also undergo notarization to ensure their legitimacy and proper implementation.

Furthermore, the filing of candidacy, campaign period, and the official SSC elections are set to take place this May until the first week of June as part of the council’s preparations for the upcoming student leadership transition.
