💃🕺 **ZUMBA PARA SA LAHAT NG EDAD!** 🕺💃

Simula pa noong inilunsad ito noong March 2, 2025, tuloy-tuloy ang ating Zumba Program dito sa ating barangay katuwang ang ating masisipag na Dance Fitness Instructors.

Ang programang ito ay **LIBRE** at bukas para sa lahat — kabataan, adults, at senior citizens. Layunin nating palakasin ang pangangatawan, mapabuti ang kalusugan ng puso, at higit sa lahat, magkaroon ng mas masaya at aktibong pamumuhay sa ating komunidad.

Hindi lang ehersisyo ang ating itinataguyod — kasama rin dito ang nutrisyon at tamang pagkain. May mga paalala at gabay tungkol sa:
🥗 Wastong pagpili ng masustansyang pagkain
🍎 Pag-iwas sa sobrang alat, tamis, at taba
💧 Regular na pag-inom ng tubig
⚖️ Pagpapanatili ng tamang timbang

Bilang bahagi ng ating health intervention, hinihikayat natin ang bawat isa na maging disiplinado sa pag-eehersisyo at pagkain upang maiwasan ang lifestyle diseases tulad ng high blood, diabetes, at obesity.

Patuloy tayong makiisa at makibahagi! Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang mas malusog, mas masigla, at mas masayang barangay! 💚

𝗜𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗖?

Vitamin C helps protect children from infections. However, many Filipino kids are not getting enough of it. According to the 2023 DOST-FNRI National Nutrition Survey (NNS), 4 in 5 Filipino school-age children (79.7%) do not meet their daily vitamin C needs, putting them at greater risk of infections and other health concerns.

Children 6 to 9 years old need about 23 to 45 milligrams (mg) of vitamin C per day to meet their daily requirements (PDRI, 2015).
Because of this, DOST-FNRI has developed the Sweetened Calamansi Juice - Vitamin C Enriched.

𝐑𝐍𝐏𝐂 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞-𝐎𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐳𝐨𝐧

Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator (RNPC) Ms. Lourdes Bulante-Orongan, RND, MDM, of the National Nutrition Council (NNC) Calabarzon warmly recognized the event’s guests of honor from NNC, Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units, Local Nutrition Committees, and other attendees during her Opening Remarks at the 2025 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony. She also outlined the awards to be conferred and expressed her gratitude to Local Chief Executives, emphasizing that when government resources are invested wisely in health and nutrition, they yield healthier, stronger, and more progressive communities.

Congratulating all awardees, RNPC Bulante-Orongan reminded everyone that while Calabarzon has come a long way in nutrition, the journey continues. She shared her hope for the day when all 147 LGUs in the region will be recognized as Green Banner Seal of Compliance awardees—with the ultimate vision of a Calabarzon completely free from malnutrition.

The Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) is the annual recognition event of the National Nutrition Council that confers awards to Local Government Units (LGUs) and Local Nutrition Focal Points (LNFPs) based on the results of the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro. It serves as a mechanism to acknowledge exemplary performance in advancing nutrition governance, program implementation, and outcomes at the local level.
