Bacoor City, Cavite โ August 20, 2026 โ St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) and Healthcare and Technology Academy (HCT) formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) focused on advancing Virtual Reality (VR) and simulation-based education in healthcare education and training.
The partnership brings together SDCAโs strong academic foundation in nursing and allied health education and HCTโs expertise in healthcare simulation, emerging technologies, and innovative learning solutions. HCT is an INACSL-endorsed organization, reflecting its commitment to recognized international standards and best practices in healthcare simulation. This distinction further strengthens the partnershipโs foundation in quality, evidence-based, and standards-driven simulation education.
Through the collaboration, SDCA and HCT aim to provide students and educators with meaningful, immersive, and technology-enabled learning experiences that strengthen clinical competence, critical thinking, clinical judgment, decision-making, and readiness for professional practice.
A key component of the partnership is the integration of Virtual Reality and simulation-based learning into appropriate academic and training activities. These technologies will provide learners with opportunities to practice clinical skills, manage realistic patient scenarios, develop clinical judgment, and experience complex healthcare situations in a safe, controlled, and supportive learning environment.
