The Dominican Learning Resource Center (DLRC) is advocating the importance of reading. Thus, on November 27, 2015, during the SDCA Awards and Convocation, the DLRC actively participated by recognizing the library’s top borrowers. Given with the recognition are the top borrowers in the second semester academic year (A.Y) of 2014-2015 and first semester of A.Y 2015-2016. (to be continued with the list of top borrowers)

The Dominican Learning Resource Center (DLRC) in coordination with the Research Development Office with the hope to help mold future internationally acclaimed researchers successfully conducted a “Learning Session on the Use of E-Journals and Proper Citation/APA Style” on November 11-12, 2015 held at St. Dominic College of Asia’s (SDCA) Studio Theatre. Invited speakers for the said event are Dr. Jonathan Adanza, the SDCA’s Research Development Officer. He spoke on how to cite references properly in using the 6th edition of American Psychological Association (APA) Citation Style to which SDCA research requires. The other invited speaker was Ms. Almira Hazel Salvador, the Solutions Specialist of CE-Logic where DLRC subscribes its electronic journals and e-books. She introduced the interfaces and features of the said database of e-journals and e-books.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jayson Alvin Virata, SDCA’s MIS Officer, also introduced the Digital Campus Academy, a first in the CALABARZON. It is a new service package supported by PLDT and Microsoft in which educators and students of SDCA will have access to Microsoft’s digital curriculum and earn IT certifications in the Microsoft’s IT Academy Program for fundamental technology skills and courses. Thus, it will enhance technology skills for the SDCA constituents.
