1ST ROUND OF EPS-TOPIK ON POINT SYSTEM
The Ministry of Employment and Labor in Korea (MOEL) announced its implementation of point system for recruitment of foreign workers, scheduled to be launched this year.
Under the recruitment point system, candidates will be selected based on the following:
1. EPS-TOPIK Test (Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test)
2. Mandatory Skills Test
3. Competency Test
Basis of ranking of passers under the New EPS Point System 2017
 TOPIK Exam Score (PBT and CBT), plus
 Skills Test Score (mandatory), plus
 Work experience related in manufacturing, construction industry, plus
 National / Vocational skills training certificate

Interested applicants should take note of the following guidelines:
A. ON LINE EPS-TOPIK REGISTRATION FOR PAPER BASED TEST (PBT)
1. Registration Period (4 Days)
January 31, Feb. 01- 02 - Male Applicants ONLY
February 03 - Male and Female Applicants may register
Time - 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M ONLY
Male Applicants are preferred due to the nature of work
Presently, EPS has 2,000 Female Jobseekers in the roster.
Allowed registrants per day: 7,500 or a maximum of 30,000 for four (4) days
2. Qualifications:
• Person aged between 18 to 38 years’ old
(born between Feb. 01, 1978~ Jan. 31, 1999)
• With related work experience
• No derogatory record
• No record of deportation
• Not restricted to depart from the Philippines
• No physical and medical handicaps that will hamper work efficiency (e.g. slip disc, finger amputation, color blindness, color weakness, ishihara deficient, etc)
• No Tuberculosis (TB) history
3. Documentary Requirements
• Passport (validity should not be earlier than January 2018)
• Clear copy of scanned passport
• Clear Recent Colored ID picture with dark blue background and name tag: (Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial, Suffix in capital letters),
size: 3.5cm X 4.5cm
4. Testing Fee: US$24 or peso equivalent of Php 1,196.00
• Payment Facilities: Landbank and other Bancnet Members (only online payment; strictly no over the counter payment)
• In case applicant has no existing personal bank account, you should open an account at any Landbank / Bancnet member branches
• Period of Payment: within 24 hours after confirmation of approval of registration from POEA
• If an applicant has unavoidable reasons to cancel his/her registration during registration period (e.g. sickness, accident, death and force majeure) the applicant can get full refund. However, once it is cancelled, re-application is not allowed.
5. Other important information
Passing the EPS Point System only guarantees a slot in the jobseeker roster but does not guarantee employment in Korea
6. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE/METHOD: Online (www.poea.gov.ph)
a. Create an EPS-TOPIK Registration Account
b. Check the INBOX of the email you provided
c. Click the link to activate your account in your email
d. Complete the registration form and then click “Submit”
e. Your application is now for evaluation. Please check your email for the status of your registration.
f. Login to your EPS-TOPIK Registration Account. If your registration is approved, click “Proceed to payment”. If not approved, check your email for instructions.
g. Type the required information in the payment form
h. Wait for payment confirmation message, “You are now registered”
i. Print your test permit on February 06 to 10, 2017 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Log in to your EPS TOPIK Account, click “PRINT TEST PERMIT”

a. Submission of false information and fake documents
b. Error in encoding of personal information in application form
c. Invalid picture (unclear, wrong size, wrong color background, no name tag)
d. Unclear scanned passport
e. Passport with less than one-year validity from date of application
f. Double payment
g. Double registration
9. REMINDERS:
a. Announcement of PBT Passers will be on April 07, 2017 (Friday)
b. Announcement of Skills Test, Date and Place will be on May 09, 2017 (Tuesday)
c. Actual Skills and Competency Test to be announced later.
d. Those who will not take the skills test cannot pass the point system based test.
e. Those who want to take the Competency Test should submit the following documentary requirements:
i. Certificate of Employment (COE)
ii. Training Certificate/TESDA Certificate (Technical/Vocational)
f. Applicants are directed to update their E-Registration account before the scheduled PBT
