📢 NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED) 2026 📢

Today, June 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the entire Likha Molino IV Elementary School community actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote a culture of safety among learners and personnel.

Under the leadership and support of our School Principal, Mrs. Leonora M. Pantorgo, the activity was successfully conducted by our DRRM Coordinator, Ms. Elisa Delos Reyes, together with Mr. Michael Pascua, a member of the DRRM Committee, who guided the school community in the proper ex*****on of earthquake safety protocols, including the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and orderly evacuation.

Through this activity, Likhanians demonstrated readiness, discipline, and cooperation in responding to emergency situations. This initiative highlights the school's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of every learner and personnel.

❓ FAQ: Bakit hindi pa nagsisimula ang klase sa Opening Block sa bagong Three-Term School Calendar ng DepEd?

📌 Sagot: Ang Opening Block ay hindi pa panahon para sa regular na pagtuturo at pag-aaral. Ito ay inilaan para sa mga mahahalagang gawaing paghahanda bago ang pormal na pagsisimula ng mga klase, tulad ng learner at parent orientation, learner profiling, assessment at screening, validation ng enrollment, paghahanda ng mga silid-aralan, at iba pang beginning-of-school-year (BOSY) activities. Layunin nitong matiyak na handa ang mga paaralan, g**o, mag-aaral, at mga magulang para sa maayos at organisadong pagsisimula ng pagkatuto.

📚 Ang implementasyon ng Opening Block ay nakasaad sa DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026 – Guidelines on the Implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar in Basic Education, kung saan ang bawat termino ay binubuo ng Opening Block, Instructional Block, at End-of-Term Activities. Ang Opening Block ay nagsisilbing panahon ng paghahanda upang maging mas tuloy-tuloy at epektibo ang pagtuturo sa mga susunod na linggo.

✅ Tandaan: Ang regular na klase ay magsisimula sa Instructional Block, matapos maisagawa ang lahat ng kinakailangang paghahanda sa Opening Block alinsunod sa mga probisyon ng DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026.
