“Teacher, my child doesn’t speak well yet but s/he knows the letters, shapes, and can count”

I must have gotten this message 3x already.

Conversing with your children and practicing USEFUL and PRACTICAL words they NEED everyday is way, way, waaaay more important than teaching “academic concepts”

What use are the letters if your child can’t ask for help to open something, go to the toilet, describe pictures, or have a regular conversation?

is going to be my new hashtag because parents are getting fixated on making sure their children learn these things which have no purpose yet to their daily lives.

Have meaningful conversations, practice the use of words which make daily life easier, focus on what’s really important because promise. .

After 8 months of behavioral and speech therapy, Ghaebe is now advised to enroll in a regular class after being re-evaluated last July 20, 2023!

Together with the whole team, Teacher Sai and Teacher Maricel as the Case Manager we are proud of your new achievement Ghaebe!

ADHD or Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is different with ODD.

Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is a childhood disorder that is defined by a pattern of hostile, disobedient, and defiant behaviors directed at adults or other authority figures. ODD is also characterized by children displaying angry and irritable moods, as well as argumentative and vindictive behaviors.

Several times we have encountered that parents got confused between these disorders.
Have your child seen by professional doctors and provide the right help that your child needs.
