On February 6, the ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐๐๐, themed โ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐" organized by LPU Cavite Central Student Government - LYCESGO , brought together young leaders from various schools for a meaningful day of collaboration, learning, and inspiration. The selected Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers of SSA were able to attend the morning session of the event, which was found to be engaging and worthwhile despite the limited duration of participation.
The summit featured inspiring guest speakers, including Mr. Gabe Pineda, Ms. Tita Krissy Achino and Atty. Chel Diokno.
Mr. Gabe Pineda discussed leadership and politics, emphasizing the vital role of the youth in driving positive change, highlighted by his statement, โHindi sistema ang lalamon sa kabataan, kundi kabataan ang lalamon sa sistema.โ Ms. Krissy Achino focused on the influence of social media, underscoring the importance of responsible usage and the power of oneโs voice, as reflected in her message, โAng kabataan ay hindi lang pag-asa ng bayan, kayo ang kasalukuyan ng bayan.โ
During the morning workshop, participants who were already grouped by tables are assigned specific topics, with one representative presenting their groupโs ideas. One of the SSG officersโ๐๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐น ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ, the ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐
๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐, represented her table by confidently presenting their proposed idea related to the assigned topic. In addition, ๐๐บ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ต ๐. ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ผ, the ๐บ๐๐. ๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฏ๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, was fortunate to win a raffle prize during the event.
In the afternoon session, Atty. Chel Diokno delivered an insightful discussion highlighting the importance of youth participation in shaping the future through active involvement and leadership. Although the SSG officers were unable to attend this session, his message further reinforced the summitโs call for young leaders to take initiative and contribute meaningfully to society.
The SSG officers of SSA extend their sincere gratitude to LYCESGO for organizing a well-planned and inspiring event, as well as for the warm invitation and welcoming reception at LPUโCavite. The summit served as a valuable platform that empowered the youth to voice their ideas, strengthen their leadership skills, and embrace their role as changemakers for a better tomorrow.
