Ito ay inilaan para sa mga mahahalagang gawaing paghahanda bago ang pormal na pagsisimula ng mga klase, tulad ng learner at parent orientation, learner profiling, assessment at screening, validation ng enrollment, paghahanda ng mga silid-aralan, at iba pang beginning-of-school-year (BOSY) activities. Layunin nitong matiyak na handa ang mga paaralan, g**o, mag-aaral, at mga magulang para sa maayos at organisadong pagsisimula ng pagkatuto.
