MALACAÑANG DIRECTS ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS AND SUSPENSION OF CLASSES IN CAVITE AND OTHER AREAS

CAVITE — September 10, 2026 — Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135 issued by the Office of the President, Malacañang, government offices in the Province of Cavite are directed to implement alternative work arrangements today, September 10, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall brought by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

The directive covers the National Capital Region and the provinces of La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro.

Classes at all levels in public and private schools shall shift to alternative learning modes, unless otherwise directed by the respective Local Chief Executives. Agencies delivering basic and health services, disaster response, and other vital services shall continue operations. Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) personnel placed under alternative work arrangements shall receive their corresponding wages and salaries.

Local Chief Executives may likewise implement localized suspension of classes or work in government offices in their respective jurisdictions as needed. Suspension of work in the private sector is left to the discretion of management.

This circular took effect immediately upon issuance.

“Hinubog ng Bayan, Dinuyan ng Alon”

📜 Ang kasaysayan ay hindi lamang kuwento ng nakaraan—ito ay salamin ng ating pagkakakilanlan at gabay sa paghubog ng kinabukasan.

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Kasaysayan, ang Paaralang Elementarya ng Maliksi ay nakiisa sa pagpapalalim ng kaalaman, pagmamahal sa bayan, at pagpapahalaga sa ating kultura at pamanang kasaysayan sa pamamagitan ng iba't ibang makabuluhang gawain.

✨ Mga Isinagawang Gawain:

📌 Opening Program – Panalangin, Pambansang Awit, pambungad na pananalita, at pagbibigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng paggunita sa ating kasaysayan.

👑 Historical Costume Parade – Pagpapakita ng mga mag-aaral sa kasuotang kumakatawan sa mga bayani, personalidad, at mahahalagang tauhan sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas.

🎬 Film Showing: Kasaysayan ng Pilipinas – Panonood ng educational at age-appropriate films o documentaries tungkol sa ating mga bayani at mahahalagang pangyayari sa bansa.

📝 Film Reflection Activity – Pagbabahagi ng mga mag-aaral ng kanilang natutuhan, mahahalagang aral, at mga pagpapahalagang maaari nilang maisabuhay.

🦸 “Kilalanin ang Bayani” Activity – Pagsubok sa kaalaman ng mga mag-aaral sa pagkilala sa mga bayaning Pilipino gamit ang mga larawan, clue, at paglalarawan.

🏛️ Historical Exhibit / Local History Presentation – Pagpapakilala sa makulay na kasaysayan ng Bacoor at ng lokal na komunidad, kabilang ang mahahalagang lugar at personalidad.

📖 Storytelling / Kuwentong Kasaysayan – Mga kuwentong nagbibigay-buhay sa kabayanihan at makabuluhang ambag ng mga Pilipino sa ating kasaysayan.

💙💛 Sa Maliksi Elementary School, patuloy nating hinuhubog ang mga batang may pagmamahal sa bayan, paggalang sa kasaysayan, at pagmamalaki sa pagiging Pilipino.

Class Suspension Advisory – September 7, 2026

Upon the directive of Acting City Mayor Rowena Bautista‑Mendiola, the City Government of Bacoor announces the suspension of all face‑to‑face classes in all levels (public and private) tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8, 2026, due to the prevailing weather conditions brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon (Habagat).

In line with DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026, alternative learning modes and continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private schools to ensure that learning continues despite the suspension of in‑person classes.

We urge everyone to stay safe, remain indoors as much as possible, and continue to monitor official advisories for further updates.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.
