| 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟭𝟮 𝗧𝗢 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Due to the challenges brought about by the heavy rains and flooding, and in consideration of the concerns raised by the University Student Regent, the University has decided to postpone the Commencement Exercises until further notice.

Online synchronous classes will continue until August 16, 2026. However, students who are directly affected by the prevailing weather conditions and are unable to attend their online classes are advised to inform their respective instructors and may be excused, subject to appropriate consideration of their circumstances.

The University understands the challenges faced by our students and their families during this difficult time. We continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, particularly those who remain affected by flooding and persistent rains.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and take the necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

Further announcements regarding the Commencement Exercises will be issued as necessary.

𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗦

In line with the recurring need for food supplies, especially among students who are currently stranded or staying in their dormitories, bedspaces, or apartments, the University Student Council (USC) and the Office of the Student Regent (OSR), alongside student-leaders and volunteers from across the colleges, in coordination and support of the University Management, wish to inform all students that free meals and snacks are available for claiming at the USC Office tomorrow, August 10, 2026.

The distribution will be divided into two batches:
• 10:00 AM — First Batch of Food
• 1:30 PM — Second Batch of Food

Students who wish to avail of the free meals and snacks are kindly requested to visit the USC Office personally, as the distribution requires proper coordination, inspection, and documentation to ensure that the food reaches students who are in need.

You may wear comfortable clothes such as slippers, shorts, and shirts, especially since some areas in the Municipality of Bacolor are currently affected by flooding.

We also encourage all bona fide students of Pampanga State U who know someone currently staying in a dormitory, apartment, or bedspace to share and cascade this information so we can reach as many students as possible.

The new schedule for the Commencement Exercises will be announced at a later date.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, through its 𝗦𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, participated virtually in the 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 (𝗥𝗧𝗔-𝗦𝗘𝗔) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 and 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 during the 6th International Conference on Responsible Tourism and Hospitality (ICRTH) 2026 held on July 8, 2026, at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. The awards recognize exemplary tourism initiatives that champion responsible, sustainable, and community-based tourism while promoting cultural heritage, inclusivity, and local community empowerment across the ASEAN region.

The event served as an international platform for advancing 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 and showcasing innovative initiatives that create meaningful social, cultural, and environmental impacts. It also highlighted the significance of preserving cultural heritage, promoting community-based tourism, and strengthening regional collaboration toward sustainable tourism development across Southeast Asia.

Representing 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗭𝗼𝗼𝗺, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗟. 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲, extensionist from the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, successfully delivered her academic presentation entitled, “The Intervening Influence of Sustainable Indigenous Tourism Practices on Tourists' Social Responsibility Awareness and Environmentally Responsible Behavior,” under the category of Preservation of Cultural Heritage through Responsible Tourism on July 8, 2026. The conference brought together distinguished leaders and tourism advocates, reflecting a collective commitment to promoting responsible and sustainable tourism practices.

Furthermore, with the support of the 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗨 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 under the leadership of 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗠. 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼, the university representative 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗟. 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲 proudly 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 in the Responsible Tourism Awards Southeast Asia 2026 for its 𝗦𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 established in 2023. The recognition highlights the project's contribution to fostering collaboration among local cafes and restaurants, advancing responsible tourism management, empowering local entrepreneurs, and promoting sustainable community development while preserving cultural identity and enhancing socio-economic well-being.
