𝗜𝗞𝗔-𝟭𝟮𝟰 𝗧𝗔𝗢𝗡 𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗪 𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗚𝗔𝗪𝗔

Sa pagkasilang ng panibagong araw mula alas-dose ng gabi ay ang patuloy at hindi napupunding diwa ng bawat Pilipinong manggagawang may lakas at sipag—mula sa mga bukirin hanggang sa mga lungsod, abot hanggang sa ibang bansa. Ang paglipat ng kalendaryo sa ika-1 ng Mayo ay ang palatandaan para sa ating Araw ng Paggawa o Labor Day, na unang ipinagdiwang ng ating bansa noong taong 𝟭𝟵𝟬𝟯. Hindi lamang dahil sa makasaysayang pakikibaka para sa makatarungang sahod at maayos sa kondisyon sa trabaho, kundi isang patuloy na palatandaan sa dignidad at karapatan ng bawat manggagawa.

Bilang parte ng pagdiriwang nito, mula sa simbolismo ng mga magsasaka bilang pundasyon ng ating lipunan ay nahuhulma ang isang imaheng tahimik ngunit mahalaga. Sa bawat butil ng ani ay naroon ang istorya ng tiyaga at sakripisyo—istoryang hindi lamang sa kanila, kundi sumasailalim din sa lahat ng Pilipinong nagsusumikap sa opisina, pabrika, ospital, lansangan, at iba pang larangan. 𝘿𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙡 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙞𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙪𝙠𝙝𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙜𝙖𝙬𝙖, 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙮𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙙𝙝𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙣.

Maalala nawa ng bawat Pilipino hindi lamang ang nararapat na pagkilala sa ating mga manggagawa, kundi maging ang kahalagahan ng patuloy na pakikipaglaban sa karapatan nila. Ang diwang ito ng kolektibong pagkilos ang nagsilbing daan sa paghubog ng mga batas na nagpoprotekta sa manggagawa, gaya ng Labor Code of the Philippines—isang patunay na ang mga karapatang tinatamasa ngayon ay bunga ng mahabang kasaysayan ng pakikibaka at paninindigan. Dahil ang paggawa ay hindi lamang obligasyon, kundi isang dangal na nararapat na tumbasan ng patas na pagrespeto, pagtrato, pagprotekta, at tunay na pagpapahalaga mula sa lipunan.

Sa pakikibahagi ng Lex Honos sa komunidad na nagsusulong sa batas at serbisyong panlipunan, kinikilala ng aming samahan ang mahalagang papel ng bawat manggagawang Pilipino sa pagpapatatag ng katarungan at pagkakapantay-pantay, sa araw na ito at sa mga darating pa. Ngayong Araw ng Paggawa, buong paggalang ang aming pagpupunyagi sa lahat ng manggagawang Pilipino—mula sa bukid hanggang sa bawat sulok ng mundo. Sa kanilang sipag, sakripisyo, at dedikasyon, patuloy na umaangat ang ating bayan.

𝗠𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼!

𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗧 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗚-𝗫𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘, 𝗜𝗡𝗖.

On the recently concluded 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 last April 16, the Board approved the implementation of the 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, which aims to provide financial assistance to students currently experiencing difficulties in accessing education as the University transitions to alternative learning modalities in response to the ongoing energy and fuel crisis in the country.

In line with this, the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 invites all eligible students to participate in the Online Orientation for GCash Registration, in partnership with G-Xchange, Inc, happening on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. The orientation will serve as a briefer for students who have not yet created their registered GCash accounts and will provide guidance on how to receive the said assistance through GCash.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀:

Batch 1: 1:30 PM – 1:45 PM
Batch 2: 2:00 PM – 2:15 PM
Batch 3: 2:30 PM – 2:45 PM

The assigned schedule or batch of each student shall depend on their respective college, campus, and department. Students may join through the Google Meet link to be distributed by their Class Mayors and Local Student Council Governors. In case the virtual room reaches full capacity, students may instead attend through the Facebook Live stream on this page.

The list of eligible students who may avail of the assistance shall be posted in the comment section of this post, where students may verify their names, program, and campus.

For students who already have registered GCash accounts, they may simply scan the QR Code on the poster and accomplish the Google Form so their account details may be included in the directory to be forwarded to the University Cashier for the disbursement of assistance.

In times of crisis and hardship, our commitment to the greater good remains steadfast. We continue to seek responsive solutions that lessen the burden of present challenges upon our community, especially in safeguarding access to education, which remains among our highest priorities.

When devices are not in use, they still consume electricity, so unplugging them helps prevent energy waste.

Even when devices like chargers, TVs, and computers are not in use, they still draw small amounts of electricity, often called “phantom load.” This is like using energy without proper justification. By unplugging them, you prevent unnecessary consumption, reduce electricity costs, and promote responsible use of resources—similar to avoiding liability by acting with due diligence.

Holy week serves as a meaningful reminder for us to reconnect and deepen our understanding of faith, through prayer and reflection. As we take this sacred time to pause, may we seek growth, forgiveness, release the burdens that weigh heavily upon us, and place our trust in God and let Him guide our actions and choices. Let this season of solemnity fill our hearts with kindness, peace, strengthen our spirits and inspire us to continue living each day with a deeper sense of purpose and compassion for others.

Always turn off lights in rooms that no one is using. When a light is not needed, switch it off to save electricity. ⚡️ If you leave a room, make it a habit to turn off the lights. Leaving lights on when not in use wastes energy. 🪫 Small actions like this help reduce your electricity bill and save power for everyone. 💜
