VIVA SAN AGUSTIN! What began as a connection between an alumnus and his alma mater is now opening a new frontier in nursing education at Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod.
John Iver Solidum III, a proud CSAB alumnus and nurse executive, has been instrumental in bringing international telehealth exposure to CSAB’s Level 4 nursing students through his work with Premium Care USA and Premium Care Solutions Philippines Inc.
Through this partnership, CSAB nursing students are now gaining supervised exposure to telehealth encounters involving real patients in the United States, giving them a firsthand view of how technology, clinical practice, and patient care converge in an increasingly global healthcare environment.
Moreover, the partnership provides CSAB nursing students with opportunities to develop competencies in virtual patient interaction, digital health, communication, and contemporary nursing practice—experiences that complement clinical training and broaden their understanding of the profession beyond geographical boundaries.
More than a partnership, this initiative demonstrates the meaningful role that CSAB alumni can play in advancing the education of the next generation of Augustinians. Through Mr. Solidum’s connection, expertise, and commitment to his alma mater, a global learning experience is being brought directly to CSAB’s student-nurses.
