The Young Familian Proclaimers Club (YFP) joined the faithful of the Diocese of Bacolod in warmly welcoming His Excellency, the Most Reverend Louie P. Galbines, D.D., as the 7th Bishop of the Diocese of Bacolod.

The celebration began with a solemn procession toward San Sebastian Cathedral, led by bishops from different dioceses across the country, together with priests from the various parishes and mission areas of the Diocese of Bacolod.

This was followed by the Rite of Canonical Installation, presided over by Archbishop Charles John Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines and representative of Pope Leo XIV. During the rite, the Apostolic Letter from Pope Leo XIV appointing Bishop Louie as the new Bishop of Bacolod was formally presented. Originally written in Latin, the letter was translated into English and read before the faithful.

The celebration continued with the Holy Mass, during which Cardinal Jose Fuerte Advincula delivered the homily. He reminded the faithful that God has called Bishop Louie to serve His Church and entrusted him with the mission of shepherding His people.

Also present at this historic celebration were bishops from across the Philippines, priests, religious sisters and brothers, government officials, Bishop Louieโ€™s family, and thousands of faithful who gathered to witness this momentous occasion.

For the Young Familian Proclaimers, the celebration was a deeply meaningful and inspiring experience. Witnessing this historic moment allowed them to be part of the beginning of Bishop Louieโ€™s ministry as the shepherd of the Diocese of Bacolod.

With hearts filled with joy and thanksgiving, the Young Familian Proclaimers join the entire Diocese of Bacolod in welcoming its new shepherd.

Last Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Young Familian Proclaimers (YFP) participated in a meaningful Liturgical Ministry Training facilitated by our speaker, John Carl Antipona Guinabo or Manong JC. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the wisdom, guidance, and valuable experiences he generously shared throughout the formation.

The training provided an opportunity for the participants to reflect on their experiences in their respective parishes and learn from one another through meaningful discussions. It was inspiring to witness everyone actively participating, especially those who stepped out of their comfort zones to share their thoughts and experiences with confidence.

More than deepening our understanding of the Sacred Liturgy, the formation reminded us that answering Christ's call to serve requires faith, humility, commitment, and perseverance. As members of the liturgical ministry, we are called not only to fulfill our roles during worship but also to become authentic witnesses of Christ through our words, actions, and daily lives.

May this formation continue to strengthen our hearts, deepen our love for God, and inspire us to serve with joy, reverence, and fidelity wherever He calls us.

With the theme "Unite to Turn the Tide," Mr. Mark Pablo Orcena, in collaboration with the Philippine Life Saving Society, conducted a Water Safety Symposium last July 18, 2026 at the Sr. Irmengardis Kuhn Hall, Holy Family High School โ€“ Bacolod.

The symposium aimed to promote water safety awareness and equip participants with essential life-saving knowledge and skills through informative orientations and engaging interactive discussions. The activity encouraged students and participants to become more prepared, responsible, and proactive in preventing water-related accidents.

Inspired by Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si', which calls on everyone to care for our common home and protect God's creation, Holy Family High School - Bacolod conducted a Climate Change Emergency Symposium on July 18, 2026. The symposium was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Christian Buenafe, O.Carm., Ph.D., who shared valuable insights on the realities of climate change and the collective responsibility to safeguard the environment.

The activity aimed to deepen students' awareness of the urgent challenges posed by the climate crisis while encouraging them to become responsible stewards of creation. Throughout the symposium, students listened attentively as Fr. Buenafe discussed the current environmental situation, the principles of Laudato Si', and the significant role each individual plays in promoting environmental sustainability and protecting the Earth for future generations.

As members of the Holy Family community, may we continue to embrace our shared responsibility to care for our common home through faith-filled action, environmental stewardship, and a commitment to building a more sustainable future.

Today, the Young Familian Proclaimers (YFP) participated in a meaningful Catechist Training facilitated by our speaker, Ms. Jeniel, together with the dedicated Nanays from St. John the Baptist Quasi-Parish. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our moderator, Ms. Emee Tabino, whose unwavering guidance and support made this enriching formation possible.

Throughout the training, each participant had the opportunity to demonstrate their teaching skills and talents. It was inspiring to witness every student step forward with confidence, especially those who overcame their initial hesitations and courageously shared during the teaching demonstrations. Their willingness to learn and grow reflects the heart of a true catechist.

The YFP members also shared a meal together, strengthening the bonds of friendship, fellowship, and unity within the ministry. This simple yet meaningful gathering reminded us that our mission is not only built through service but also through the relationships we nurture with one another.

More than equipping us with knowledge and teaching strategies, this formation reminded us that the vocation of a catechist begins with personal witness. Before we can effectively teach the faith to others, we must first strive to live the Gospel through our words, actions, and daily lives.

May this experience continue to deepen our faith, strengthen our commitment to serve, and inspire us to become faithful witnesses of Christ in all that we do.

Yesterday, July 17, 2026, the Young Familian Proclaimers (YFP) faithfully served during the Holy Mass for the Induction of Officers, officiated by Rev. Fr. Norman S. Egay. The Eucharistic Celebration was solemnly observed through the Gathering, the Liturgy of the Word, the Offertory, and Holy Communion, reminding everyone of the spirit of faith and service that guides our community.

Following the Mass, the Induction Ceremony was held, beginning with the GPTA and Homeroom Officers, followed by the Faculty Officers, and finally the Class and Club Officers. The program culminated in the Oath-Taking Ceremony, where the newly inducted officers formally accepted their responsibilities and commitment to serve the Holy Family High School community with integrity and dedication.

As they embark on this new chapter of leadership, may the Lord grant them wisdom, humility, and courage to lead by example. May they remain steadfast in their commitment to serve with compassion, responsibility, and faithfulness, always working for the greater good of the Familian community.

Congratulations to all our newly inducted officers! May God bless and guide you throughout their term of service.
