Our Kinder kids are talking about the topic “I live in Negros Island”.

We talk about things Negros is known for….sugarcane and our food!🤗

We had a great time trying out sugarcane, or as we locals say “pang-us tubo”. We also tried out different local delicacies such as our piaya, barquillos, suman and ibus.

It is important that we talk about our roots and our culture for us to develop a love and appreciation for where we come from…and be proud to be Negrense.🤍

Brush your teeth, kiddos!🦷🪥

During our schoolwide theme on Taking Care of my Body, our kids brought their toothbrushes to school and we learned how to brush our teeth properly. 🦷🪥

Always remember to brush your teeth after every meal to keep those beautiful smiles clean and shiny!😀

Our Kinder kids talked about Inside my Body for 1st Quarter….here are their outputs. 👀

Yes, young kids can learn about “hard” topics and understand them too. At this age, their brains are like sponges and, given the right environment, they crave to learn more challenging topics such as learning what’s inside their bodies and how their bodies work.🤗

From playing with playdough and paints in the classroom…. to egg hunts in the playground and digging at the sandbox…. It’s all in a day’s work in our Toddler Playgroup.🤗

Waffle corndogs with cheese, anyone?🧇🧀

Our Pre-Kinder kids made waffle corndogs with cheese in class….and we have to say that when children prepare their own food, it just tastes better!🙌

Cooking with kids can get messy…and chaotic… but it’s worth it when they get to have fun and appreciate the food more!🥰

Hooray for Parent Volunteers!🤗

Thank you, Daddy Doc Harry (Clara’s dad), for taking time your busy schedule to be our doctor resource person for our Kinder topic on Taking Care of my Bones.🩻

We learned new things about our body such as how our bones make our blood and ways on how to take care of our bones. We learned that our bones need sunlight (vitamin D) to grow strong…that is why it’s important to go out and play!🛝

Our Nursery & Pre-Nursery kids had a Fruit tasting activity in class and everyone got to try different kids of yummy fruits!🥝🍇🍊

When kids eat with others, they are more likely to try new and different kinds of food. When they see other children eating food they don’t usually eat, they are more open to trying it out….as compared to a parent trying to convince their child to eat the same food at home. Do you agree?😊

It was our Pre-Kinder fieldtrip to Robinson’s Supermarket last Friday.🤗

After learning about Food & Nutrition, what better way than to go on a fieldtrip to see the food that we have been talking about in class.

We always have this yearly fieldtrip to our favorite neighborhood supermarket. Our Pre-K kids had so much fun looking for the food in their grocery list and identifying which food group they belong to.🍓🍆🍋🥔🌽🍞🥦🍅🧀🥛🍗🥩

Thank you so much to our very gracious and generous host, Ms. Wheng , manager and supervisor of Robinson’s Supermarket East. Your care and attention always makes us feel like VIP’s in your supermarket!😍
