Today, we honor the heroes who shaped our history and fought for the freedom we have today. Their courage, sacrifices, and love for our country continue to inspire us. ✦

𝙃𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙚𝙩𝙝 (noun) — a deep longing for something familiar that may no longer exist in the way you remember it.

Sometimes, you don't actually miss the person. You miss the late-night conversations, the comfort of having someone to tell everything to, the version of yourself that existed when they were still around. You miss the memories, even if you know you wouldn't want to make new ones. And maybe that's the strange part of moving on—you can still look back with tenderness without wanting to turn around.

Sometimes, it's not even the person you fall in love with. It's the little things—the way they looked at you, the conversations you replay at night, the possibility that maybe they felt something too. You start turning every small gesture into a sign, every coincidence into a reason to hope. And before you know it, you're not just waiting for them anymore; you're waiting for a version of the story where they finally choose you.

𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙚 is remembering what you once had.
𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙥𝙨𝙚 is wanting it back after
convincing yourself you were already over it.

Reminiscing means looking back without necessarily wanting to return. Relapsing is when the memory becomes a feeling again—when suddenly, the person you thought you had moved on from starts feeling like someone you still want to come back to.

Example: She could reminisce about their memories without wanting him back. But the moment she started rereading their old messages, hoping he would text again, she knew she was relapsing.

Sometimes, you don't miss them—you miss the feeling of being loved by them.

Some people are like August—warm, beautiful, and temporary. For a little while, it feels like maybe they could be yours, like maybe the moment will last. But then the season changes, and you're left holding memories of something that was never really yours to begin with. Maybe that's what makes nervine hurt so much: you don't just miss the person—you miss the possibility of what the two of you could have been. 🍂

Knowledge collects facts. Wisdom applies them. One fills your head, the other shapes your life. You can read a thousand books and still lack wisdom — because wisdom only comes from experience, mistakes, and the humility to learn from both.

Example: She had all the knowledge to ace the exam, but it was wisdom that helped her stay calm and trust her preparation.
